‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Post Credits Scene Details Reportedly Revealed

Marvel has spent the better part of the last decade training audiences to sit through every last frame of credits, chasing that one stinger that might reveal where the franchise heads next. With the Multiverse Saga barreling toward its next major crossover event, every remaining release on the calendar carries a little extra weight as a potential bridge to what comes after.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ occupies a particularly unique spot on that calendar. It is the only Marvel Studios movie releasing between now and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ in December, which puts an enormous amount of pressure on Tom Holland’s next outing as Peter Parker to do some serious connective work before the next Avengers team assembles.

That pressure appears to be paying off, at least according to the rumor mill. Industry insider Daniel Richtman has reported that the film’s post-credits scene has been described to him simply as dealing with space, a vague but tantalizing tease that has fans immediately spinning theories about what exactly that could mean for the wall crawler’s future.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Post-Credits Scenes Count Has Reportedly Been Revealed

The space angle lines up with a separate report from another insider, who claimed the film will feature just a single post credits scene, breaking from the usual Marvel tradition of including two stingers. That same source indicated the lone scene will directly set up ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, reinforcing the idea that Marvel wants this film’s closing moments to serve one clear purpose rather than teasing multiple future projects.

Adding another layer to the puzzle, earlier leaked details suggested the post-credits sequence could show a planet appearing over the New York skyline, an event tied to another Earth’s heroes crossing over ahead of the events of ‘Doomsday’. That same leak claimed Sam Wilson’s Captain America would attempt to recruit Spider-Man for a new Avengers lineup, only for Peter to turn him down, a beat that would fit neatly with a scene focused on cosmic scale stakes rather than street level threats.

Whether the vague space description points to something as literal as an alien invasion teaser or something more character-specific involving Peter gaining new cosmic abilities remains unclear. What is consistent across every version of the rumor circulating right now is the underlying message, that this post-credits scene exists specifically to point directly at ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ rather than standing on its own.

Marvel has leaned into this kind of tightly focused connective tissue before, using post credits scenes on films like ‘Thunderbolts’ and ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ to set up upcoming crossovers rather than introducing standalone threads. Given how close ‘Brand New Day’ sits to ‘Doomsday’ on the release calendar, using its final moments purely as a launchpad for the next Avengers film would track with that recent pattern.

Fans will not have to wait long to find out how accurate any of these reports turn out to be. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ swings into theaters on July 31, just weeks ahead of a Marvel presentation many expect will finally reveal the first proper trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ when it arrives in theaters on December 18.

What do you think the post credits scene actually reveals?
