‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Star Channing Tatum Shuts Down Rumors That He’s Been Secretly Trolling Ex Zoë Kravitz Online

Celebrity internet sleuthing has become something of a modern pastime, with fans constantly piecing together clues from social media activity to uncover hidden connections between stars. Few relationships get more scrutiny in that regard than exes who’ve moved on very publicly, especially when one of them is now engaged to someone as high-profile as Harry Styles.

That’s exactly the situation Channing Tatum found himself in this past weekend, after fans began connecting some unusual dots involving an anonymous Instagram account. What started as internet speculation quickly snowballed into a full-blown viral theory, eventually forcing the actor to address it directly.

Tatum has now denied being behind a burner Instagram account accused of posting shady comments about his ex-fiancée, Zoë Kravitz. The ‘Magic Mike’ star addressed the rumors in a statement shared to his Instagram Stories on September 21, just days after the theory began making the rounds online.

The account in question, called Nonya Bidness, had reportedly commented on posts involving Kravitz and her fiancé, Harry Styles, including a comment that read, “Just here for the hate.” Fans grew suspicious after noticing the account appeared to have just one follower, and that follower was Tatum’s own verified Instagram.

Tatum didn’t hold back in his response, writing, “Yo, I truly can’t believe y’all think this is what I’m doing with my free time. F***in hilarious.” He went on to poke a hole in the theory that had fueled so much of the speculation in the first place.

Addressing the “follower” detail directly, Tatum questioned why he would follow a burner account if he actually wanted to stay anonymous. “Also, why would I follow a burner account if I didn’t want people to connect me to it? Wtf come on,” he wrote, before closing out his statement with a direct clarification about his online presence.

“But if I really need to say it, I only have one IG account: @channingtatum,” he added, according to TMZ, which first reported the denial. Shortly after the theory went viral, Tatum’s official account and the Nonya Bidness account reportedly unfollowed each other, and the mystery account was deactivated entirely.

Beyond the initial comment that sparked the theory, the account had reportedly left several other pointed remarks about Kravitz’s relationship history and her current romance with Styles. One comment referenced Tatum’s past marriage to Jenna Dewan, while others weighed in on Kravitz’s engagement to Styles, which was confirmed back in April 2026 after roughly eight months of dating.

Beyond Kravitz and Styles, the account reportedly didn’t stop there, with even Jennifer Lopez catching a stray comment from whoever was behind the profile. None of that, however, offers any concrete proof tying the account back to Tatum himself, despite the circumstantial evidence that initially fueled the speculation.

Tatum and Kravitz’s relationship has remained a point of fascination for fans since their split, largely because of how publicly affectionate the two once were. The pair first connected while working together on ‘Blink Twice,’ Kravitz’s feature directorial debut, which Tatum starred in.

Kravitz has previously spoken warmly about their time together, telling Elle in 2025 that she cares for Tatum very much and has no regrets about the relationship. With Tatum now denying any involvement in the burner account controversy, it remains to be seen whether the internet will fully move on from the theory or continue digging for more clues.
