The latest wave of reports suggests Marvel has already shown the film to select audiences multiple times, with reactions described in glowing, if vague, terms.

Now one of those insiders has gone a step further, zeroing in on a single detail that has fans buzzing: the opening minutes of the movie. Prolific industry leaker Daniel Richtman posted on X that the first ten minutes of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ are “gonna give people heart attacks,” a claim that was quickly amplified by fan accounts like MCU Film News and picked up by outlets internationally.

According to reports circulating alongside Richtman’s comment, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has now held three test screenings, with early reactions described simply as “good.” Richtman didn’t offer any specifics about what actually happens in those opening minutes, and Marvel Studios has not commented publicly, so the claim should be treated as unverified buzz rather than a confirmed plot detail.

This isn’t the first time Richtman has weighed in on the film’s scale. Back in January, he suggested on X that ‘Doomsday’ could run roughly three hours, putting it in the same range as ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ whose official runtime clocked in at 3 hours and 1 minute. Wikipedia currently lists the film’s runtime at 165 minutes, though the Russo Brothers themselves told Collider while promoting ‘The Electric State’ that they’d bet on ‘Doomsday’ running closer to 2 and a half hours, with ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ pushing nearer to 3.

Podcast personality John Campea has claimed, citing his own source, that Doomsday’s opening sequence would “eclipse” what he considers the two greatest comic book movie openings ever, referring to the openings of ‘X2’ and ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.’ He reportedly added that “people are going to lose their minds” once they see it.

Other scoopers have piled on with similarly dramatic praise, with one calling the film “the most epic movie OF ALL TIME” and another describing its climactic battle as “insane.” Industry insider Jeff Sneider has also weighed in, telling listeners of The Hot Mic podcast that the film was still finishing up post-production pickups but that the overall buzz around it was strong.
