‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Star Simone Ashley Stuns in Knee-High Boots and a Printed Mini in Her Latest Photo

Simone Ashley has spent 2026 turning into one of the year’s most reliable style presences. Between magazine covers, film festival appearances and a Met Gala outing, the ‘Bridgerton’ star rarely steps out without giving fashion watchers something to talk about.

Her spring was dominated by promotion for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, in which she plays Amari, Miranda Priestly’s first assistant. In New York alone, she stepped out in 5 different shoe looks in a single day, and she also fronted Burberry’s High Summer 2026 campaign that same week.

The newest entry in that streak arrived on Monday. A newly circulating photo of Ashley has already drawn 28.9K views. She sits on a polished cream floor in front of white columns and frosted-glass doors framed in black, looking off to the side with her long dark hair falling over one shoulder.

She wears a strapless minidress with a silver-gray graphic print across the bodice and a black skirt, paired with black leather knee-high boots. One leg is stretched out along the floor, and the glossy surface reflects the scene back at her.

The boots are hardly a one-off. On her birthday in March, Ashley wore knee-high Paris Texas boots with a strapless black leather minidress and matching jacket from Marine Serre, both covered in floral appliqué. The previous September, she chose another pair of Paris Texas boots for Milan Fashion Week.

In May, she posted an Instagram photo dump featuring a black leather halterneck crop top, a high-waist slit skirt and black knee-high boots, following her Met Gala 2026 appearance. Across those looks, the pairing of a sculpted strapless or backless silhouette with a tall boot has become a clear pattern.

Lying or sitting on the floor for a photo isn’t new for her either. In early September, Ashley shared a 4-photo set from her Elle UK cover shoot, thanking editor Kenya Hunt and saying she loved the day with the dream team. In one image, she lay on the floor in a white, lingerie-inspired floral dress against a blue backdrop.

Compared with that soft, romantic mood, the new photo feels sharper and more graphic. The black boots and metallic print give it an edge, while the pale marble keeps it clean and cool.

Ashley’s wardrobe wins are landing during a busy stretch for her career. Her film credits now include ‘Picture This’ and ‘This Tempting Madness’ from 2025, and ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ from this year. She attended that film’s world premiere at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center on April 20, wearing head-to-toe Prada.

She remains best known as Kate Sharma in Netflix’s ‘Bridgerton’, a role she has played since 2022, and she received the Golden Nymph Award for Most Promising Talent from the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in 2024. She has also spoken about how returning to the show feels like coming home to family. Fans are hoping that means a return as Kate down the line.

What makes the image land is how little it needs. There is no red carpet, no step-and-repeat and no caption doing the heavy lifting. A strong silhouette, a striking print and a relaxed pose on a marble floor are enough to fill the frame.

For an actress who has been asked to prove herself beyond one franchise, that confidence is part of the story. Each new photo adds to a personal style that increasingly feels like her own.
