LEGO Unleashes Its Longest ‘Star Wars’ Set Ever With Darth Vader’s Executor Super Star Destroyer
Few ships in ‘Star Wars’ look as menacing as the Executor Super Star Destroyer, Darth Vader’s personal flagship from ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’. Its dagger-like shape is instantly recognizable. The bridge is also where Vader met the bounty hunters, which makes it a natural subject for LEGO bricks.
LEGO has tackled the ship before. The 2011 Ultimate Collector Series Super Star Destroyer (10221) had 3,152 pieces and cost €399.99 before it was permanently withdrawn in December 2014. That Executor was 124 cm long and came with 5 minifigures.
Now the follow-up has arrived. LEGO’s ‘Star Wars’ Executor Super Star Destroyer (75457) went on general sale on October 4, after early access for LEGO Insiders starting October 1.
The numbers are big. The set has 6,130 pieces and measures 136 cm long, 50 cm wide and 20 cm tall. It weighs more than 5 kg. LEGO calls it the longest ‘Star Wars’ brick-built model yet, and it lands at number 14 on the list of the largest LEGO sets, just ahead of Hogwarts Castle.

LEGO has used the extra bricks for more than length. An internal Technic structure supports highly detailed exterior panels, and an engraved tile is printed 60 times to recreate the ship’s hull. A tiny Millennium Falcon is printed onto the build as a nod to the film’s famous chase scene.

The model sits on a built-in black display stand. A to-scale Star Destroyer is included to show how enormous the Executor is. There is also a mini-build of the Executor’s bridge, where Vader met the bounty hunters.
The set comes with 7 minifigures. Alongside Darth Vader, it includes Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM and Zuckuss. It is the first time all 6 bounty hunters from ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ appear together in a single set.

That makes the bridge scene a collector’s dream. Fans can restage the moment with the whole lineup in one place, which also makes this a more ambitious interpretation than the 2011 model.
The set is aimed at adults aged 18 and over, and it carries a hefty price tag: $799.99, £649.99 or €749.99. Jay’s Brick Blog pointed out that it is one of the most expensive LEGO releases of 2026. It also noted that many people may not have room to display a ship more than a meter long.
LEGO is sweetening the deal with a gift with purchase. Buyers get the 174-piece Darth Vader’s Lightsaber (40897) while supplies last. Brickfact estimates the build will take around 14 to 18 hours, so collectors should clear their schedules as well as their shelves.
For fans who grew up with the 2011 original, the new Executor Super Star Destroyer feels like the upgrade they have been waiting for.
