‘Madame Web’ Star Sydney Sweeney’s Never-Before-Seen Venice Snapshot Proves the Sparkle Never Left Her Armani Beauty Trip
Sydney Sweeney’s Venice trip is still giving fashion fans plenty to talk about. The 83rd Venice International Film Festival wrapped on September 12, but her time in Italy has kept resurfacing in feeds ever since.
She stepped away from the red carpet for a stretch in early 2026 after a huge career year and the finale of HBO’s ‘Euphoria.’ Venice marked her return to the spotlight, and a wardrobe built almost entirely on archival designer pieces became the story of her trip.
Now there’s one more image to add to the pile. On October 4, the fan account Sweeney Daily shared a new photo of the actress from her time in Venice. It shows her smiling warmly at the camera during a night out, in a shimmering silver-grey sequined dress with thin straps, one finished with a dark floral embellishment.
She wore her blonde hair in long, loose waves with soft, glowing makeup. The dimly lit backdrop and relaxed pose give it a candid, off-duty feel, quite different from her polished red carpet appearances.

Sweeney wasn’t on the Lido to promote a film. She attended as a global ambassador for Armani Beauty, the festival’s official beauty sponsor, which told Forbes exclusively that she, Kendall Jenner and Jonathan Bailey would be among its ambassadors in Venice.
The group was the brand’s biggest lineup to date, also including model Vittoria Ceretti, actors Nicholas Galitzine and Luca Argentero, singer J Balvin and Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz. That mix of film, fashion, music and sport shaped the energy of the festival.

Sweeney landed in Venice on September 2 wearing an archive look from Georges Chakra’s Spring 2003 collection, featuring a sheer lace top with matching shorts. She paired it with pink Gianvito Rossi mules in 2026’s clear-heel trend.

At the Armani Beauty dinner on September 3, she wore a vintage Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2000 gown made of transparent black fabric covered in silver sequins and tiny beads. The look came one year after she broke the internet in a sheer chainmail dress at Variety’s Power of Women event in October 2025, and fans noticed the echo.
She was also spotted on a night out in another vintage piece, from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 1987 collection. On September 4, she was photographed in a lacy white outfit with textured cut-outs that suited the “European summer” mood.
Archival dressing was a theme across the festival. Jenner wore a vintage 1995 gown, and Nina Dobrev chose a vintage Armani design for her own appearance.

She also took in the sights with her boyfriend, Scooter Braun, who was with her at various points during the trip. The couple were photographed kissing on a gondola ride through the canals, and they first sparked romance rumors in June 2025 at the Bezos-Sánchez wedding in Venice.

It’s a nice bit of symmetry that the city has become a recurring backdrop for her style moments. The wedding trip produced a run of memorable looks, and this year’s festival added several more.
Venice was all about beauty and fashion, but Sweeney has big film work ahead. In January 2026, it was announced that she would star in and produce ‘The Custom of the Country,’ an Edith Wharton adaptation financed by StudioCanal, with Josie Rourke directing.
Leo Woodall later joined the project, along with Josh Finan, Louis Garrel, Matthew Goode, Rose Leslie, Martha Plimpton and Irene Jacob. It’s shaping up to be one of her most ambitious roles yet.
For now, fans seem perfectly happy reliving her Venice moments one photo at a time. If this sparkling snapshot is any indication, there may be more unseen images from the trip still to surface.
