‘Anaconda’ Star Daniela Melchior Stuns in a Casual Cowboy-Boot Look
Daniela Melchior has been spending time at home in Portugal, and her latest photos show a very relaxed side of the actress. The images are a reminder of how far the Almada-born star has come since her breakthrough in ‘The Suicide Squad’. They also arrive just as her next batch of projects is lining up.
Now the actress has shared a new collection of images on her Instagram account, delighting fans with a casual look.

The standout piece is a fitted white ribbed tank top, paired with light-wash denim shorts that have a distressed, frayed hem. The outfit is simple, which lets the footwear do the talking.
She wears tall gray-and-black cowboy boots with embroidered detailing, giving the look a western edge. Tortoiseshell-style sunglasses and a small black shoulder bag complete the outfit. On her wrists she wears a stack of bracelets and wristbands plus a watch, with rings on her hands, and her long dark hair falls loose.
The biggest project on her calendar is ‘Violent Night 2’, which Universal is releasing on December 4 in the United States. It opens in Portuguese cinemas on December 3. David Harbour returns as the hard-fighting Santa Claus, while Kristen Bell plays Mrs. Claus.
Melchior’s role hasn’t been revealed. Tommy Wirkola is back as director, and the cast also includes Jared Harris, Joe Pantoliano, Maxwell Friedman and Andrew Bachelor. The film shot in Winnipeg in September and October of last year.
A first trailer arrived in August and reportedly shows Santa trapped inside a shopping mall after losing his powers. The film’s writers have said they are bringing a little Western influence to the sequel, which fits neatly with Melchior’s cowboy boots.
Closer to her roots, Melchior stars in ‘A Night in Porto’, a romantic dramedy shot in the Portuguese city. She leads opposite Corey Mylchreest as two former lovers who unexpectedly reunite on Christmas night. Their encounter sparks a reflection on whether life offers second chances at happiness.
Antonio Sequeira wrote the script and co-directs with Anastasiia Vorotniuk. The film runs about 100 minutes and is produced by Kurious Studios with Porto’s Homnage Films and Pris Audiovisuais. Melchior and Mylchreest are also listed as executive producers. Production reports say it is targeting a Christmas release this year.
Melchior is also lending her voice to the animated musical ‘Viana the Legend of the Golden Hearts’. She plays Princess Ana, a lovestruck noblewoman who embarks on a challenging journey for love with a poor artisan named Thomas. It’s a different kind of project for an actress better known for action and comedy.
These upcoming titles follow a busy stretch. ‘Anaconda’ arrived on December 25 last year alongside Paul Rudd and Jack Black, and ‘Balls Up’ landed on Prime Video on April 15, where it received negative reviews. She also appeared in the mystery thriller ‘American Sweatshop’ in 2025.
Between a Christmas slasher sequel, a Portuguese romance and an animated musical, her schedule covers a wide range of genres. It also shows her splitting her time between Hollywood studios and projects rooted in her home country.
Which upcoming Daniela Melchior project are you looking forward to most?
