‘The Love Hypothesis’ Star Lili Reinhart Goes Full Fairy Tale in Sculptural White Ruffles for Glamour Germany
Few actors have reinvented their public image as visibly as Lili Reinhart. Since leaving Betty Cooper’s ponytail behind, she has used magazine shoots and red carpets to show a very different side of herself. Her latest fashion moment, a dreamy editorial for Glamour Germany, is a striking new chapter.
Reinhart’s 2026 has been packed. She has promoted a new film, appeared on several magazine pages, and kept her social feeds full of fashion. Even for an actor who has spent years in front of the camera, it’s been a particularly busy stretch.
Now, fresh Images of the actress show her in the most spectacular edition yet.
In the top-left frame, Reinhart stands in a garden with her hands on her hips, wearing an oversized dark coat with a cream shearling-style trim over a cream mini skirt with gold buttons. A pale stone building with shuttered windows sits behind her. It’s a sharp, slightly mischievous look that mixes cozy textures with a crisp, tailored edge.

The two white frames are the real showstoppers. In them, Reinhart is almost swallowed by an enormous sculptural cloud of white ruffles, with only her face and hands peeking out of the layers. In one shot she lies on the grass in a white long-sleeved dress, the ruffles billowing around her like a giant flower.
The final frame turns the mood quieter. She reclines on the lawn in a black sleeveless dress, her long blonde hair falling loose, holding a small sprig of greenery as an arched stone doorway rises behind her. Together, the four images shift between playful, dramatic and serene.
"Empathetic women are led to believe they can change a man who isn’t capable of it. In "The Love Hypothesis," Adam isn’t truly a cold person. Olive just needs to reach his soft core. In real life, there are people who lack that warmth. I spent years trying to reach a heart that wasn’t there. Relationships aren’t a waste of time, though. You learn and grow. But at some point, you have to recognize whether someone is even capable of love. If it takes years to reach them, it probably won’t turn out the way you want." — Lili Reinhart for Glamour Germany

The Glamour Germany shoot fits a pattern. In September, Reinhart appeared on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter Germany in a dark pinstripe suit with wide-leg trousers and pointed pumps. That look was all clean tailoring, which makes the ruffled fantasy of this latest shoot feel even more dramatic by comparison.

She also posed for Interview magazine in a black satin slip dress with sheer lace panels, photographed by Taryn Segal. Earlier in the year, she appeared on a cover for The Hunger, and at SXSW in March, she wore a sheer black midi dress for a portrait session while promoting ‘Forbidden Fruits’. Her fashion output has become as varied as her film choices.
"I believe our world is fundamentally unhappy. People no longer strive to be romantic. Looking at your phone isn’t romantic. We see romance in movies and think, "I want that too." I feel the same way. We are romantic beings. At the same time, we constantly see dark, disturbing things on our phones. Watching the opposite for 90 minutes is cathartic." — Lili Reinhart for Glamour Germany

Much of this attention ties back to ‘The Love Hypothesis’, her new film adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s bestselling novel, which also stars Tom Bateman. The movie’s trailer arrived in August, and Reinhart attended its UK premiere at BFI Southbank on September 9. Prime Video has also positioned the film as part of its autumn romance slate.
Her other recent work includes ‘Forbidden Fruits’, which had its world premiere at SXSW and also stars Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Chamberlain and Gabrielle Union. She also appeared in ‘Hal & Harper’, Cooper Raiff’s series, alongside Mark Ruffalo. It’s a varied slate that leans toward riskier, smaller projects.
Reinhart played Betty Cooper on ‘Riverdale’ from 2017 to 2023, and she has been open about how that experience shaped her choices. She has told The New York Times that those years now influence which projects she accepts, favoring roles that stretch beyond what the show already covered. She is also reportedly developing a lesbian vampire novella into a feature, though studios have so far hesitated to back it.
Seen in that light, a high-concept fashion shoot is part of the same story. It shows an actor who wants to be taken seriously as an artist and who is comfortable experimenting with how she’s presented. The ruffled cloud and the garden setting suggest someone who enjoys being playful.
