‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Keegan Allen Says He Was Robbed at Gunpoint and Shares Bloody Aftermath
Keegan Allen first became a household name playing the mysterious Toby Cavanaugh on ‘Pretty Little Liars’, a role he held from 2010 to 2017. He later played Liam Walker on ‘Walker’ from 2021 to 2024 and appeared in an episode of ‘The Rookie’ in February. This week, however, the actor has been in the headlines for a far more frightening reason.
Allen has described a violent encounter in West Hollywood that left him injured and shaken, and the footage he shared shows just how serious the attack was. His account, shared on social media, has quickly spread online.
The 37-year-old actor says he was held up by two masked men at gunpoint and knifepoint on Thursday evening, Oct. 8, outside the Laurel Supply market in West Hollywood. Sheriff’s deputies were sent to 8445 Santa Monica Boulevard in response to a 911 call about a victim assaulted with a gun and robbed of a Rolex. Allen says the men struck him in the head and took his watch.
Allen posted a video to Instagram shortly after the attack that shows his face covered in blood. He also shared security footage of the incident, which reportedly shows the men hitting him in the head. Allen said the attackers did not take a bracelet or ring he was wearing.
In his posts, Allen said West Hollywood no longer feels safe. He said the men threatened to kill him over the watch and that he believes they would have followed through. He added that he would share more details soon, and he described the encounter as one that could easily have ended far worse.
Around five hours later, responding to someone who urged him to get medical care, he wrote that he was concussed and at the hospital. He also said he expected to be okay, a small reassurance for worried fans.
Allen also criticized the Flock Safety cameras used in West Hollywood, naming Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom and suggesting the technology should help catch the suspects. His comments were directed at officials, and he urged them to use surveillance footage to find the men. The remarks put the spotlight on how the city uses surveillance technology to respond to street crime.
According to reports, the Sheriff’s Department said the victim was struck in the face with a handgun, and that the suspects fled north on Olive Drive in an unknown vehicle. Radio communications described two male suspects, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife. As of the latest reports, authorities had not released more information about the suspects, and no arrests had been made.
The investigation is ongoing, and details could still change as deputies continue their inquiries. Reports differ slightly on the finer points, with some describing the location as Hollywood rather than West Hollywood and noting that the robbery happened in the parking lot beside Allen’s vehicle.
The incident follows a series of crimes in the neighborhood. Local reports note an Oct. 1 robbery involving a shooting on Holloway Drive near Sunset Boulevard, where one person was taken to a hospital. A burglary on Holloway Drive on Sept. 22 was also reported. Those incidents add context to Allen’s concerns about safety in West Hollywood, and they show that deputies have been busy with a string of serious incidents in a short span of time.
Allen has indicated he will provide more updates when he is able. For now, the focus appears to be on his recovery and on identifying the suspects, who remain at large.
The case is a reminder that even well-known faces can fall victim to street crime. With no arrests reported so far and the suspects still unidentified, the story is still developing as investigators work to find the men responsible, and any further statement from Allen is likely to draw fresh attention to the case.
