‘VisionQuest’ Episode Titles and Release Schedule Revealed
When a Marvel series announces its schedule, the episode titles often tell fans more than any synopsis. A single word can hint at a returning villain, a callback to an older story or a direction nobody expected. For ‘VisionQuest‘, which has just begun streaming, the titles do exactly that.
Marvel has now confirmed the full rollout for the 8-episode series on Disney+, along with every episode name. The reveal came in a code-styled graphic that lists the episodes as an “episode array”, a fitting touch for a story about a synthetic hero. The series premiered on Tuesday, October 13, a day earlier than originally planned.
The episode titles are ‘No Strings’, ‘Theseus’, ‘Reboot’, ‘Malware’, ‘Firewall’, ‘Deadlock’, ‘Immolation’ and ‘Forever’. Taken together, they point toward a story steeped in technology, identity and finality. The schedule is also unusual, with a mix of paired and single releases.

Marvel is releasing 2 episodes per week for the first 3 weeks, followed by 1 episode a week for the final 2 weeks. According to the official announcement, the schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, October 13: Episode 1, ‘No Strings’, and Episode 2, ‘Theseus’
- Tuesday, October 20: Episode 3, ‘Reboot’, and Episode 4, ‘Malware’
- Tuesday, October 27: Episode 5, ‘Firewall’, and Episode 6, ‘Deadlock’
- Tuesday, November 3: Episode 7, ‘Immolation’
- Tuesday, November 10: Episode 8, ‘Forever’
New episodes arrive at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT. Some earlier listings had suggested Wednesday releases and a finale on November 11, but Marvel’s updated announcement points to Tuesdays. Fans should rely on the official schedule when planning their viewing.
A couple of the titles are clear callbacks. ‘No Strings’ appears to reference Ultron’s famous line from ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, while ‘Theseus’ recalls the Ship of Theseus discussion from the ‘WandaVision’ finale. Both fit a series built around Vision’s identity and his connection to Ultron.
The rest read like a computer science glossary. ‘Reboot’, ‘Malware’, ‘Firewall’ and ‘Deadlock’ point to a story where systems fail, are attacked or must be restarted. ‘Immolation’ and ‘Forever’ suggest a heavier, more final tone as the series reaches its conclusion. The titles alone don’t establish what happens, but they hint at an arc that moves from rebirth to reckoning.

Episode lengths vary. Episode 1 runs about 53 minutes and Episode 2 about 45 minutes, according to early reporting. The penultimate episode is listed at 1 hour and 2 minutes, with the finale at 1 hour and 8 minutes.
The first 2 episodes also screened at the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival on Monday, October 12, before reaching streaming. That gave the series an early spotlight before its Disney+ debut. It also underlined the creative ambition behind the project.
‘VisionQuest’ was created by Terry Matalas and is billed as a miniseries and a conclusion to the ‘WandaVision’ trilogy. Paul Bettany returns as Vision, and James Spader returns as Ultron. By the start of the series, Vision has been disguising himself as a human and working at a pub for years.
The cast also includes Diane Morgan, James D’Arcy, Ruaridh Mollica, T’Nia Miller, Orla Brady and Emily Hampshire. Mollica plays Tommy, an 18-year-old orphan who is newly out of the foster care system in London. The series is rated TV-14 and streams exclusively on Disney+.

The mix of paired and single episodes is a strategic choice. Releasing 2 at a time for 3 weeks gives viewers enough story to dive into, while giving the last 2 episodes their own weeks lets the finale breathe. It also stretches the conversation across a full month.
For Marvel, the rollout comes as its live-action television slate narrows, which makes each series feel more like an event. As the final live-action show before ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, ‘VisionQuest’ carries extra weight, and the schedule is designed to keep fans talking until the last episode lands.
