Marvel has always loved a good mystery, and its marketing team knows how to keep fans guessing. From coded teasers to hidden Easter eggs, the studio treats every promotional post as a puzzle. ‘VisionQuest‘ has now become the latest show to get the cryptic treatment.

The Disney+ series follows Paul Bettany’s Vision after the events of ‘WandaVision’. It premiered this month with its first two episodes arriving together, and the remaining episodes of the 8-episode season are rolling out weekly. With the show in full swing, fans are already combing every update for hints.

Marvel’s Latin American account recently shared a post for ‘VisionQuest’ that looks like nothing but a wall of 1s and 0s. Decoded, the binary message reads in Spanish as the equivalent of “There are other Maximoffs. The Maximoff family.” That is a short phrase, but it has fans buzzing about who it could mean.

Marvel has not explained the message, so everything is speculation for now. Still, the post lands at a time when the show is actively exploring Vision’s connection to his family. The timing makes the line feel deliberate.

The most obvious candidate is Billy Maximoff, played by Joe Locke. Billy was first introduced as one of the twin sons Wanda created inside the Westview Hex in ‘WandaVision’, and he returned in ‘Agatha All Along’. Marvel has not confirmed his return in ‘VisionQuest’, but the trailers hinted at it, and Locke attended the premiere.

Wanda herself, played by Elizabeth Olsen, seems far less likely to appear. There is no confirmation she will be back in the MCU at all. The message could also simply refer to Vision trying to connect emotionally to the memories of the family he lost.

One Maximoff is already front and center. Ruaridh Mollica plays Thomas Shepherd, a teenager whose body now houses the soul of Tommy Maximoff, the other twin from ‘WandaVision’. Like his uncle Pietro, Tommy has superhuman speed, while Billy inherited magical abilities similar to his mother’s.

Vision and Thomas go on the run together, and their bond forms the emotional core of the show’s father-son story. That setup makes the hint about the wider family even more intriguing. If Tommy is already in the mix, a reunion with his brother would feel like a natural next step.

The series picks up with Vision living as a human, working at a pub under the name Sherwood Ellis. He is described as resurrected with an all-white appearance and stripped of his emotions, struggling to reconnect with his past. Bettany has noted that Vision has been copying other AIs into his mind to keep them alive.

That detail ties directly into the show’s supporting cast. James Spader returns as Ultron, and the AI roster includes Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S. and T’Nia Miller as Jocasta. Lauren Morais plays Lisa Molinari, rounding out an ensemble that blends old favorites with new faces.

‘VisionQuest’ is billed as the finale to the ‘WandaVision’ story, so family is a natural theme. Terry Matalas serves as showrunner, with Christopher J. Byrne, Vincenzo Natali and Gandja Monteiro among the directors. The series has a lot of emotional history to resolve.

If the hint points to Billy, it could set up a major reunion before the season ends. If it points to something else entirely, Marvel may be saving a bigger surprise. Either way, the studio has succeeded in getting fans to rewatch every scene for clues.

With several episodes still to come, fans won’t have to wait long to see whether the binary message pays off. For now, the cryptic post has done its job by turning a short phrase into a full-blown theory session.
