Marvel’s marketing for ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ has been all about scale. The film’s four teasers have collectively passed 1 billion views, a cast-reveal livestream pulled in 275 million views, and the July trailer became the second-biggest launch on record. Against that backdrop of cosmic stakes, the studio has now tried something much smaller.

The film brings the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men together against Doctor Doom, and the campaign has leaned heavily on epic imagery like colliding worlds and burning mansions. It makes sense that a sillier angle would stand out. That’s exactly what arrived this week.

The new ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ promo goes inside the New Avengers Tower, but not with heroes. Instead, it follows a receptionist through her workday in a short video styled as an office interview, with on-screen text reading “Office Interview, Avengers Tower Edition.” Another version uses the popular “Get Ready With Me” format, with the text “GRWM for work: Avengers Tower Edition.”

The clip is a brand partnership with Secret Clinical deodorant. The receptionist handles calls, packages and workplace chaos, and when asked about the Hulk, her answer plays as though he has simply quit his job. The humor lands on the product at the end, when she calls it her secret weapon.

It’s a clever way to build a world. The Tower is no longer just a skyline landmark, but a workplace with phones, packages and a very patient front desk, which gives fans a peek at the daily life of the MCU’s New York.

The location carries real story weight. In ‘Thunderbolts*’, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine bought Avengers Tower to turn it into her base of operations. When that team was revealed as ‘The New Avengers’, the tower became the headquarters for a roster that includes Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, John Walker and Sentry, and many of them return in ‘Doomsday’.

That team isn’t alone. There are two Avengers groups in the film, and merchandise suggests that Sam Wilson’s team may assemble somewhere else, possibly in the classic Avengers Mansion from the comics. It’s a reminder that Marvel is juggling multiple home bases as the universe widens.

The promo also lines up with a real product. LEGO’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower’ (set 76352) is a 954-piece, four-level build that stands 13.5 inches tall and includes a helipad, lab, control room, reception area and a working elevator. It arrived on October 4 for $109.99.

The set comes with minifigures of Yelena, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, Sentry, Human Torch and a new Doctor Doom, plus a hidden detention cell. It also hides a few Easter eggs, including a trash can that conceals Black Panther’s claws, Stormbreaker and Mjolnir, and the foyer has an ad for Avengers breakfast cereal. One reviewer noted that the trailers suggest the tower plays a role in the film.

Marvel has treated this rollout as an event in itself. The first teaser played only in theaters before the studio released it online five days later, and the four teasers have averaged social volume 188% higher than a typical Marvel drop. They also hold Marvel’s records for trailer views on Instagram, at 505 million, and TikTok, at 103 million.

Domestic pre-sales have reportedly passed $50 million, and the film opens December 18. ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ follows on December 17, 2027. A workplace comedy promo is a very different tone from the apocalyptic art, but it widens the audience, especially on the platforms where the campaign is already breaking records.

What it also shows is a studio willing to play with the formats fans actually use. A “Get Ready With Me” video from inside the Avengers’ headquarters would have sounded absurd a few years ago. Now it’s part of the build-up to a film about the end of the multiverse.
