New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Popcorn Buckets and Collectible Cup Put Doctor Doom on Every Concession Stand
Marvel has always understood that a movie release is more than a movie. It’s a campaign, a collectible aisle and a lobby takeover, and ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ is turning all of those dials to the maximum. With Robert Downey Jr. playing Doctor Doom, the villain has become the face of the marketing, and his image is now showing up in places no one expected, including the popcorn bucket.
The film arrives in theaters on December 18, with Anthony and Joe Russo directing. Its premise brings together heroes from three universes to face a threat unlike anything they have confronted before. That scale has made the build-up as much of a spectacle as the film itself.
A new video teaser has now offered another look at the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ popcorn buckets and collectible cup. The short clip lingers on ornate, riveted armor in a dim, green-lit chamber, which leans into the dark Latverian look that has defined the campaign. It’s a mood piece that fits the villain’s throne-room aesthetic.
The items themselves follow a familiar pattern. The centerpiece bucket is sculpted as Doom’s hooded metal mask with glowing green eyes, and the matching cup shows him seated on a carved stone throne decorated with geometric symbols. Avengers and Fantastic Four logos are embossed above him, and translucent green parts and a green straw complete the look.

It’s important to know where these items are actually available. The glowing Doom head that spread online as a Cinemark release was posted by Cinemark Brasil for theaters in Brazil. That chain announced four limited-edition pieces for Brazil, including two LED-lit items, a metal bucket and an Iron Studios pin, with presales opening October 29.
The rest of the world is joining in. Cinépolis has revealed its own set, with a full-torso popcorn bucket expected to follow, and Spain’s Cine Yelmo has a Doom bust bucket and mask cup. Another Brazilian chain, Cineflix Cinemas, has a hooded helmet bucket and a black metallic bucket with a glowing design.
American fans may need to wait. As of mid-October, no US theater chain had announced a Doomsday popcorn bucket, and the items making the rounds came from international chains in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Guatemala and Spain. AMC and Regal list a Doctor Doom Mask Light for $29.99 as a pre-order, but not a bucket.
One tracking site expects US theaters to show theirs in mid to late November, before the film opens, based on how the ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ rollout went. Regal has also promised a Doctor Doom ‘Magic: The Gathering’ card for opening weekend Infinity Vision screenings from December 17 to 20.
The collectible push is part of a wider strategy. On September 25, Marvel released an ‘Endgame Encore’ poster showing Doom sitting in a theater seat, holding a red nano gauntlet full of popcorn under the words “Doom Shall Attend”. Downey shared the artwork himself, and it set the tone for a campaign that turns moviegoing into a villain’s coronation.
Life-size Doom statues and throne replicas have also popped up at expos and theaters around the world. The unifying idea is that Doom is not just the antagonist but the host of the event.

Collectible buckets have become a measure of hype. A well-designed one spreads online as quickly as a trailer, and it gives fans a reason to buy a ticket early. That is especially important for a film that is already breaking presale records, with reports saying it has crossed $100 million globally and became the earliest film to pass $50 million in domestic presales.
The stakes are also high on the calendar. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ shares its release date with ‘Dune: Part Three’, which secured a three-week exclusive window on IMAX screens. That is why Disney created the Infinity Vision label, and why a ticket stub or a collectible has become part of the sales pitch.
Pricing and on-sale dates for many of these items haven’t been announced, and details about the opening on the head-shaped bucket remain unclear, though it most likely sits at the back of the head. Collectibles like these often arrive close to opening weekend and can sell out quickly, so fans should watch their local theater’s app.
With the film seven weeks away, expect more reveals before December. If the early rollout is any sign, Doom will be everywhere by the time the lights go down.
