Halloween has become a favorite time of year for pop groups to show off a little personality. A themed outfit change, a surprise costume or a coordinated photo can turn a regular tour stop into a viral event. For a group with a loyal online fanbase, it’s an easy way to connect with fans in a playful way.

KATSEYE has built its reputation on high-energy performances and a distinctive visual style. The group’s fans, who call themselves Eyekons, pay close attention to every outfit, dance break and social media post. That makes a costume reveal the perfect fit for the Halloween season.

The group dressed up as heroes and villains from DC Comics at a recent concert for Halloween. In the photo, four members pose in a metal truck trailer, each channeling a different character. One wears a Harley Quinn look, with a pigtailed blonde wig, a baseball bat, ripped fishnets and a red-and-blue outfit.

Next to her is a Poison Ivy look in a leafy green outfit with matching green boots, and then a Wonder Woman look with red-and-gold armor, blue shorts and tall red boots. On the end is a Catwoman look in a black leather outfit with a mask, thigh-high boots and a hand posed behind her head. The group’s styling gives each character a clear signature, even in a cramped, industrial setting.

The photo features the four members who have been performing together this year: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung. KATSEYE was originally formed as a six-member group through the reality competition series ‘The Debut: Dream Academy’, a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records. Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman have both been on hiatus, with HYBE x Geffen saying Sophia is focusing on her wellbeing.

ARY News reported that Sophia’s extended hiatus is expected to continue through January 2027, while there’s no announced return date for Manon. The sources I found do not say which member is dressed as which character in the new photo, so that part of the lineup is left to fans.

The costumes come during one of the busiest stretches of the group’s career. KATSEYE kicked off THE WILDWORLD TOUR, its first-ever arena tour, at Dublin’s 3Arena on September 1, followed by two shows at London’s The O2. The tour is also scheduled to stop at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on November 21 and 22.

The group made its Coachella debut on April 10, performing there for the first time. It has also appeared on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and opened the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with performances of ‘Pinky Up’ and ‘Animal’. Songs like ‘Gabriela’, ‘Touch’ and ‘Gnarly’ have become signature hits.

Superhero and villain group costumes are a Halloween staple, and DC’s Gotham characters are among the most popular choices. Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman are often grouped as Gotham City Sirens, a team that first appeared in DC Comics. In that storyline, the three women join forces and share a hideout in Gotham.

Adding Wonder Woman gives the group a heroic counterweight to the villains, and it mixes up the color palette in a way that photographs well. The combination of red, green, blue and black helps each character stand out. It also gives the group a clear visual story, with a mix of heroes and villains sharing the same frame.

Concert costumes serve a different purpose than a red carpet look. On tour, a group needs outfits that allow for movement and quick changes while still reading clearly from the back of an arena. Seeing the members in coordinated, recognizable characters gives fans a shareable moment that’s easy to understand at a glance.

It also reflects how pop groups use social media to extend a show beyond the venue. A backstage-style photo in an industrial trailer adds a gritty edge that contrasts with the bright outfits. That mix of playful and polished is part of what has made the group popular online.

The photo has drawn strong engagement online, with fans praising the details of the costumes and the group’s chemistry. Many highlighted the accuracy of the Harley Quinn look, from the bat to the makeup, and the dramatic styling of the Catwoman outfit. Others joked that the group made a better Gotham team than most movie casts.

Superhero costumes also tend to spark debates over which character each member suits best. With no official breakdown, that guessing game has become part of the fun. It’s a small but effective way to keep fans engaged between tour dates.

With more tour dates ahead, it’s likely that the group will continue to bring theatrical touches to its live show. A Halloween costume photo is a lighthearted reminder of how much personality the members have outside their choreography. And for fans who attend the Los Angeles shows in November, it may also raise hopes for another surprise.
