Movie tie-ins have become an art form, and Dunkin’ is going all in on the countdown to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Instead of a single themed cup, the chain has built an entire lineup of character-inspired drinks, donuts and collectibles. For Marvel fans, the next trip for coffee is about to feel a lot more heroic, or villainous.

The promotion arrives about six weeks before the film hits theaters on December 18, and it positions Dunkin’ as one of the first big brands to cash in on the hype. Other tie-ins are rolling out as well, including M&M’s and Oreo products that lean on Doctor Doom’s green color scheme. Dunkin’ says more surprises are on the way in early November.

Here is the news in full. Starting November 4, participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide will sell the limited-time ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ lineup while supplies last. It covers 6 themed drinks, 2 donuts, Munchkins and a set of collectibles, with characters from the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four all represented.

The Iced Captain’ccino is the Captain America drink, built from espresso, caramel flavor and coffee milk lightly blended and served over ice. The Clobbered Cloud Latte nods to The Thing, topping its drink with Cookie Butter Cold Foam and crumbles meant to resemble his rocky look. The Wakandan Daydream Refresher represents Black Panther, and the Optic Blast Lemonade is inspired by Cyclops.

Doctor Doom gets two drinks of his own. Doom’s Orders Energy mixes Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero, sparkling water and Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam, while the Doom Cloud Latte combines espresso, whole milk, mocha swirl and vanilla flavors with Sweet Cold Foam and cocoa powder. Both the energy drink and the refresher reportedly use ingredients already in stores, which Dunkin’ introduced for its Halloween lineup.

On the food side, Dunkin’ is offering a Doomsday Donut inspired by the villain and an Avenging Donut for the heroes. Glazed Chocolate and Buttermilk Munchkins also get villain and hero treatments as bite-sized sides. The Doctor Doom 25-count Munchkins tin is likely to be the star of the show, since it is shaped like his mask and green hood.

The tin costs $14.99 with any 25-count Munchkins purchase, while supplies last. Because it comes only with a Munchkins order, the keepsake supports an item Dunkin’ already sells. Fine print in one ad reportedly sets a limit of 3 drinks per guest, which suggests the chain expects strong demand.

The limited-edition merchandise goes well beyond the tin. Themed tumblers cost $24.99 with designs inspired by Doctor Doom, the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four. A black color-changing mug costs $14.99 and reveals film and Dunkin’ branding with character-inspired icons as it changes.

Cup sleeves cost $8.99 and glove cup sleeves are inspired by Doctor Doom, Black Panther, Mister Fantastic and Captain America. The glove sleeves appear to be a drink sleeve with a built-in superhero glove, and a promotional graphic encourages fans to collect all 4. Pricing for those is reported as $14.99 in some coverage and $19.99 in others, so it is worth checking in store.

Dunkin’ has been on a run of major pop culture crossovers, and this one leans heavily on collectibles. Industry commentators have compared the Doom tin to popcorn buckets, the movie-theater collectibles that have become a status symbol among fans. Offering a keepsake alongside a purchase gives people a reason to buy early and often.

For Marvel, the partnership extends the film’s reach far beyond theaters, putting Doom’s face in the hands of everyday customers. The campaign also underscores how heavily the studio is marketing the villain, with Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom at the center of nearly every tie-in. With six weeks to go, that marketing blitz is only getting started.
