After having premiered on March 11 at the SXSW, the new sci-fi horror movie Ash started its wide theatrical run on March 21, 2025. The story follows two people in space who have to deal with the ramifications of a tragedy, but there is a big issue of trust between the two of them.

Directed by Flying Lotus, the movie stars Eiza González and Aaron Paul as Riya and Brion, respectively. The two stars recently went to social media to share their reactions to the movie, and there is one thing they praised in particular.

When Riya, an astronaut, wakes up on a distant planet and finds her whole crew dead, she is approached by Brion, who is supposedly there to save her.

She does not remember what happened and only has horrible flashbacks of certain scenes while Brion is there to assist her. She supposedly knows him and should trust him, but the issue is that she cannot be certain whether that is true.

We won’t be spoiling the story, but from the social media video, it seems that the two stars had a lot of fun making the movie and that they respect each other greatly:

One of the things they praised in particular was the suits from the movie, which really are something special. The design is great, and from what you can see, it seems that wearing them was also quite interesting and that – definitely – adds to the allure of the film.

It is interesting to note that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tessa Thompson were initially cast in the main roles before the two current stars came in. Alongside them, the film features Iko Uwais as Adhi, Beulah Koale as Kevin, Kate Elliott as Clarke, and director Flying Lotus as Davis.

The film is out now, and the initial reactions to it were generally positive, so we hope you’ll like it as well!
