New Kingpin BTS Photo From Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Hints That Things Will Get Real Ugly and Violent

Marvel fans have been treated to a new look at Vincent D’Onofrio’s return as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The actor recently shared a new image on social media, showcasing his iconic white suit, and what appear to be severely bloody hands.

If this scene makes it into the final cut, it wouldn’t be surprising. Everything so far points to a more savage Kingpin and a more brutal Daredevil, especially considering how Born Again Season 1 ended.

However, it’s worth noting that it’s unclear whether this behind-the-scenes photo is from Season 1 or Season 2.

By the time Born Again Season 1 wrapped, Kingpin had stopped pretending in his office that he was anything other than a violent animal and a criminal. Meanwhile, Daredevil came to realize he’ll need to gather an army to take on Kingpin’s AVTF forces.

Season 2’s production has seen some changes behind the scenes. Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who are also executive producers with Scardapane, are returning. The season will be shorter, with only eight episodes, and production is reportedly smoother than before.

New directors Solvan Naim, Iain B. MacDonald, and Angela Barnes—known for her work on Ironheart—have also joined the project.

Filming began in late February 2025 under the working title Out the Kitchen 2. Locations have included Brooklyn and Manhattan, with Charlie Cox spotted in his Daredevil costume on set. Other cast members like Wilson Bethel have also been filming scenes.

The new season is expected to launch in March 2026 as part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With just eight episodes planned, fans are eager to see how the story unfolds, especially regarding Kingpin and Matt’s relationship after the dramatic events late in the season.
