Jade Cargill Embracing Storm at WWE With X-Men-Inspired Look Highlights Why She’s a Top Fan Pick for the MCU’s Ororo Munroe
Jade Cargill just gave fans another reason to believe she’s the perfect choice to play Storm in the MCU.
The buzz around the X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been going strong for years now. Back in 2019, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that mutants would eventually be part of the MCU. H
e explained that the words “mutants” and “X-Men” could be used interchangeably and also said the MCU version would be different from the one seen in Fox’s films.
Since then, fans have been guessing who might play the legendary characters when they finally arrive on screen. And when it comes to Storm, one name keeps coming up, Jade Cargill.
Cargill, known for her strength in the ring and her presence outside of it, turned heads at WWE when she came out dressed as Storm, complete with the iconic theme music. It wasn’t just a costume, it was a full moment. And it showed exactly how serious she is about the role. One fan even said, “Kevin Feige needs to call her right now.” Honestly, we agree.

To top it all off, she didn’t just look the part, she delivered in the ring. At WWE’s Queen of the Ring 2025 event, Cargill beat Asuka in the co-main event. That win earned her the crown and a guaranteed title shot at WWE SummerSlam, which is happening this August at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
What makes this even cooler is that this wasn’t her first time channeling Storm. Cargill posted photos of herself in full Storm cosplay five years ago. So this isn’t a one-time thing, she’s been showing love for the character for a while now.
Meanwhile, the X-Men movie is finally moving forward. By September 2023, Marvel Studios started meeting with writers. In May 2024, Michael Lesslie was in talks to write the film, and he was confirmed a year later. Not long after that, Jake Schreier was picked to direct. This came after people reacted well to his work on Thunderbolts, which is set to come out in 2025.
With the movie slowly coming together, the big question remains—who will play Storm? After her WWE performance and years of showing her love for the character, Jade Cargill seems more ready than ever.
We really hope Kevin Feige is paying attention.
