New ‘Nobody 2’ Trailer Is Here: Bob Odenkirk Fights Again in Action-Packed Sequel
The brand-new trailer for Nobody 2 is finally out. Universal Pictures just dropped it online and also announced that tickets are now on sale. Collider shared the exclusive 4DX poster, but it’s the trailer that’s got everyone talking. The movie will hit theaters across North America on August 15, 2025.
Bob Odenkirk is back as Hutch Mansell, the regular guy who’s secretly a deadly assassin. Fans often call him “your dad’s favorite John Wick knockoff,” and he’s about to prove why. In Nobody 2, Hutch returns with more fights, more action, and more trouble.

This sequel takes place four years after the events of the first film. Hutch still owes $30 million to the Russian mob and is stuck doing hit jobs to pay off his debt. But life isn’t just about fights and money. Hutch’s marriage to Becca, played again by Connie Nielsen, is not going so well.
To try and fix things, they take their kids on a family trip to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark. It’s the same place Hutch used to visit with his brother Harry, who’s played again by RZA. Of course, the vacation doesn’t go as planned.
After a run-in with some local bullies, Hutch’s family ends up in danger. A corrupt theme park owner and a shady sheriff are now after them. This forces Hutch to face one of the craziest and most dangerous enemies he’s ever fought. Director Timo Tjahjanto, known for his wild action movies, is making his English-language debut here. The story was written by Umair Aleem, Aaron Rabin, and Bob Odenkirk himself.
Besides Odenkirk, Nielsen, and RZA, fans will also see Christopher Lloyd return as Hutch’s dad, David Mansell. Michael Ironside is back as Eddie Williams, Hutch’s boss. Other returning faces include Colin Salmon, Billy MacLellan, Gage Munroe, and Paisley Cadorath. New to the cast are Colin Hanks, John Ortiz, and Sharon Stone, who plays a bootlegging mastermind. Ortiz is playing a crooked theme park operator, and Hanks is the dirty sheriff working with him.
The idea for a sequel started back in March 2021. Connie Nielsen said in an interview that she wanted to explore more of Becca and Hutch’s story, saying “We actually talked about how they first met when we were making the first movie.” A few months later, Derek Kolstad, the creator of the first film, started working on a script. But it wasn’t until late 2022 that producer Kelly McCormick confirmed that the sequel was officially happening.
Filming kicked off in Winnipeg on August 6, 2024, and wrapped up in late September. During this time, Sharon Stone, Colin Hanks, and John Ortiz joined the cast. Director Tjahjanto also confirmed on social media that RZA would return as Harry Mansell.
With the trailer out and tickets on sale, fans won’t have to wait much longer. According to Universal Pictures, Nobody 2 hits theaters on August 15, 2025.
