The director of the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, Matt Shakman, shared his thoughts on a fun debate: who would win in a fight between Galactus and Godzilla? According to him, it’s not even close. He thinks Galactus would easily win.

In an interview, the director said, “He’s not just a lizard brain.” He was talking about Godzilla and why he thinks Galactus would beat the giant monster. He believes people underestimate Galactus, forgetting that he’s a cosmic being who can destroy whole planets.

Fans of both franchises might not agree, but the director seemed pretty confident about his choice.

First, Galactus is not just a big monster like Godzilla. He is more like a giant space god. He doesn’t just fight with claws and teeth. He uses huge powers that can destroy whole planets. Godzilla can smash cities, but Galactus can eat worlds.

Also, Galactus is super smart. He plans things and uses advanced science and energy that Godzilla wouldn’t even understand. Godzilla fights like a wild animal. Galactus thinks like a genius.

Another reason is size. Godzilla is huge, but Galactus can make himself as big as he wants. He’s not stuck at one size. He could just grow bigger than Godzilla and crush him if he wanted.

Finally, Galactus doesn’t need to get close to fight. He can blast Godzilla from far away with cosmic beams and energy waves. Godzilla would probably not even get the chance to fight up close.

So, while Godzilla is strong and scary, Galactus is just in a different league. He’s too powerful, too smart, and too big. That’s why Galactus would win.

As far as Galactus goes in the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps, Ralph Ineson is playing him, and both the director and the actor have different takes on the character.

The director, Matt Shakman, described him as a “giant, 14-billion-year-old, planet-eating cosmic vampire.”

Ineson doesn’t think Galactus is evil. He said Galactus is like a god and just does what he needs to survive, eating planets is normal for him. To get ready for the role, Ineson spent time standing on top of tall buildings, thinking about how a massive being like Galactus would feel.

Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel, always wanted to use Galactus in a movie. He even showed a video of Galactus from the Fortnite game to help show how Galactus should look and act. Ineson actually wore this armor on set, not just special effects. It was so heavy and hot that a crew had to help cool him down between scenes.
