Nickelodeon Announces New Avatar Show Called ‘Avatar: Seven Havens’ and Reveals First Look & Details
Avatar: The Last Airbender is marking its 20th anniversary by looking ahead to new adventures as well as honoring its past.
Along with new movies featuring some familiar characters, fans now have a fresh animated series to get excited about called Avatar: Seven Havens. And we finally know who the new Avatar is.
At the recent 20th anniversary panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Nickelodeon gave fans their first official look at Seven Havens. The series introduces Pavi, the new Avatar who is an Earthbender, along with her mentor Jae. And of course, there’s a cute animal companion, keeping with the tradition of the Avatar world.

Seven Havens is a 26-episode 2D animated show set in a world shaken by a huge disaster. This event tore apart both the mortal and spirit realms, creating chaos and making people lose trust in the Avatar.
Because of this, society has pulled back into seven safe zones called “havens.” One of these is a city named Aurora, which was shown in the official images from the panel.
We don’t yet know exactly what caused this disaster or why the Avatar is now viewed with suspicion. The story will follow Pavi and Jae on their journey through this fractured world. The show will be split into two parts, or “books,” each with 13 episodes.
There’s no release date yet, but it will come after the new movie The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, which is scheduled to hit theaters on October 9, 2026.
Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios also confirmed that Seven Havens takes place after the events of The Legend of Korra. The new Avatar, Pavi, is joined by her long-lost twin sibling on this adventure.
The series is created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the original creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi will be executive producers.
This upcoming series will have 26 half-hour episodes split across two seasons, or books. It is expected to premiere in 2027.
All this information was revealed at the 20th anniversary panel at San Diego Comic-Con and from official announcements by Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios.
