The trailer for Cold Storage has just dropped, giving audiences a first look at the tense, action‑packed thriller based on David Koepp’s 2019 novel. Directed by Jonny Campbell and written by Koepp, the film blends survival horror and disaster drama in one gripping story.

The plot follows a dangerous outbreak when a fast‑mutating and highly contagious fungus escapes from a sealed lab. Two young employees, played by Joe Keery and Georgina Campbell, join forces with a seasoned bioterror operative, played by Liam Neeson, in a desperate attempt to survive the night and save the world from total destruction.

The cast also includes Sosie Bacon as Dr. Hero Martins, Lesley Manville, Vanessa Redgrave as Ma Rooney, Darrell D’Silva as The Rev, Daniel Rigby as Anthony, Rob Collins as Enos Minjarra, Ellora Torchia as Abigail, Aaron Heffernan, and Andrew Brooke as Greg.

Production on the film began in 2023, with scenes shot in Italy and Morocco. According to reports, the project was first announced in May 2022 with Liam Neeson and Joe Keery attached, and StudioCanal providing full financing.

Georgina Campbell joined later that year, followed by Sosie Bacon in March 2023. In April 2025, Samuel Goldwyn Films picked up the distribution rights for the United States.

Cold Storage is set to hit theaters in the United States in 2026.
