Apple TV+ is bringing a fresh face to The Morning Show for its upcoming fourth season. Marion Cotillard will join the cast as Celine Dumont, a new character set to shake things up at UBA, the fictional network at the heart of the series. The show will return on September 17, 2025, with a new trailer already giving fans a glimpse of what to expect.

The teaser shows Cotillard’s character quietly watching multiple screens, where interviews of Jennifer Aniston’s Alex Levy and Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson play out. Her intense stare and thoughtful expression suggest she’s a sharp and strategic new player in the game.

The teaser ends with a close-up of Cotillard’s face and the words, “New season. New boss.” This marks a big shift in the series’ power dynamics.

The Morning Show first premiered on Apple TV+ back in November 2019 and quickly became known for its intense look at the world of morning news. Inspired by Brian Stelter’s book Top of the Morning, the series explores the messy lives behind the scenes of a broadcast news show.

It started with the fallout after the male co-anchor was accused of sexual misconduct, tying into real-life #MeToo discussions. Since then, the show has tackled tough current events like the COVID-19 pandemic, racial inequality, the Capitol riot, and the war in Ukraine.

The series has earned a ton of praise, with 25 Emmy nominations, ten Screen Actors Guild nods, and nine Golden Globe nominations. Jennifer Aniston and Billy Crudup have been standout performers. Aniston won a SAG award for her role and earned two Emmy nominations. Crudup also won an Emmy in 2020 and again in 2024.

The new season was confirmed in May 2023, with production running from July to December 2024. With Cotillard’s arrival, fans can expect big changes to the story and the relationships within the show’s newsroom. Her character is described as a strategic and powerful European operator, promising fresh drama and tension.

If you haven’t caught up yet, now’s a good time to watch the first three seasons before the new one drops next fall. The Morning Show continues to dig deep into the high-stakes world of television news, and the addition of Marion Cotillard looks set to take things to a whole new level.
