The Jonas Brothers kicked off their 20th anniversary tour, JONAS20, with an unforgettable show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday, August 10. The brothers—Kevin, Joe, and Nick—treated fans to a night full of special moments and surprises, including a heartwarming reunion with Demi Lovato.

Joe Jonas started a nostalgic trip down memory lane by singing “Gotta Find You,” a song from their 2008 Disney movie Camp Rock. Then, he brought out Demi Lovato, who starred as Mitchie Torres in the film. The two sang some of the movie’s biggest hits together, like “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.” After performing “This Is Me,” Joe told the crowd, “We hadn’t performed this song in almost 10 years,” and Demi added, “It might have been longer.”

Kevin and Nick were also part of Camp Rock, playing band members Jason and Nate. Nick shared a little behind-the-scenes story, saying, “Joe got the job, and then somehow our dad figured it out to get me and Kevin to be involved in the movie too.” He then invited fans to join them in celebrating the movie’s legacy.

Demi’s husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, shared a sweet moment on Instagram, posting a clip of Demi walking on stage to loud cheers. He wrote, “Couldn’t be more proud … I love u sooo much baby,” tagging Demi in the post. Both Joe and Demi also shared their excitement on social media, lip-syncing to “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” and even recreating a famous Disney Channel speech by Debby Ryan.

The surprises kept coming when the Jonas family joined the stage later in the show. Their parents, Kevin Sr. and Denise Jonas, younger brother Frankie, Kevin’s wife Danielle, and their daughters Valentina and Alena all took part in performing the band’s 2007 hit, “When You Look Me in the Eyes.”

Before the tour began, the brothers talked about it during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on August 7. Kevin admitted it was tough to pick songs, saying, “There’s so much music to play… but it’s so fun because we do get to take breaks and admire each other’s work at the same time.” Joe joked about those breaks, adding, “And pee breaks mostly.”

Nick reflected on their long career, saying it’s “hard to believe” they’ve been making music for 20 years. He explained that creating the show was a challenge because “it felt basically impossible to summarize a 20-year journey with music.” Still, he’s happy with how it turned out, saying the setlist truly represents their path and includes important songs. He also promised fans that “we’ve got some amazing special guests lined up and I just can’t wait.”

This tour follows the release of their newest album, Greetings from Your Hometown. With this big celebration, the Jonas Brothers are ready to honor two decades of music and memories with their fans.
