Paramount is planning to expand its TV and movie brands into the gaming world, and some of its biggest targets are shows created by Taylor Sheridan. This includes Yellowstone, Tulsa King, Lioness, and other related series.

The information comes from an interview with Polygon, where Shawn Kittelsen, head of creative and production at Paramount Games Studio, spoke about the company’s plans. Paramount recently launched a new gaming division called Paramount Games, which will focus on making video games based on its biggest franchises.

One of the first confirmed projects is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. But the company says this is only the beginning, and more major titles are being considered for future games.

Kittelsen made it clear that Taylor Sheridan’s shows are a big focus for the company’s gaming strategy. He said, “All of the Yellowstone and Yellowstone-adjacent titles, Landman, Tulsa King, these are all priorities for us.”

This means Paramount is actively looking at how to turn these TV dramas into interactive games. However, nothing has entered full development yet, and no specific game projects have been officially announced for these shows.

The idea of turning Yellowstone or Tulsa King into a game is still open-ended. The shows are known for crime drama, ranch life, and political tension, so it is not yet clear what kind of gameplay would fit best. Some ideas being discussed in general include story-driven games where choices matter, or open-world crime games similar to older titles like Mafia or Grand Theft Auto.

Polygon also noted that Paramount is being careful about how it handles its game adaptations. The company does not want to release low-quality licensed games just to make quick money.

Kittelsen explained this approach by saying, “If we start, like, willy-nilly licensing everything that we can just to check boxes and fill the coffers, people will get wise to it, and we won’t actually see the success that we could.”

He also added that Paramount wants to choose the right partners and focus on quality instead of quantity. He said, “Everything has to come from that player first, fan-first perspective. We’re being much more selective about our partners because everything that we do, we don’t want to just spray and pray. Like we always say: we want missiles, not bullets.”

This shows that Paramount is trying to build a long-term gaming strategy instead of quickly releasing many small projects. The company wants its games to match the quality of its biggest TV and film brands.

Taylor Sheridan is also expanding into other entertainment areas outside of television and gaming. He is currently involved in writing a Call of Duty movie for Paramount. That film is expected to be released in theaters in the summer of 2028.

For now, the idea of a Yellowstone or Tulsa King video game remains in early planning stages. But Paramount has made it clear that these shows are high on its list, and fans may eventually see them turned into major gaming projects in the future.
