Sarah Guyard-Guillot was a veteran aerialist and performer who died during a live performance of the Cirque du Soleil show ‘Kà’ in 2013. The incident occurred at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas during the final battle scene of the production. As she was being hoisted up the side of a vertical stage, she slipped from her safety wire and fell approximately 90 feet into an open pit. The show was halted immediately, and she was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to a medical facility. This tragedy led to significant changes in safety protocols for high-altitude acrobatic performances.
