Alan Ritchson and Shailene Woodley Star in First Look Teaser for ‘Motor City’
A new teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming film Motor City, giving audiences a first look at the gritty action thriller set in 1970s Detroit.
The movie features a strong cast led by Alan Ritchson and Shailene Woodley, along with Pablo Schreiber, Ben Foster, and Ben McKenzie. It is directed by Potsy Ponciroli and written by Chad St. John.
The story follows a working-class man named John Miller. He is wrongly accused after getting involved with a gangster’s girlfriend. The situation destroys his life, and he ends up in prison. After spending years behind bars, he is finally released. Once out, he returns with a clear goal: revenge.
The film is set in a tough and violent version of Detroit during the 1970s. The focus is on crime, betrayal, and personal revenge.
The project has had a long development history. The script was first written years ago and went through several changes in cast and crew over time. It was originally considered for different directors and actors before the current version came together. Eventually, the final version moved forward with Ponciroli directing and the current cast attached.
Production companies involved include Stampede Ventures and Gramercy Park Media, with distribution handled by Independent Film Company. The film is expected to run for just over 100 minutes and is made as a U.S. production in English.
“Motor City” had its early premiere screening at a major film festival before moving toward a wider release. It is now scheduled to hit theaters on July 24.
The teaser shows a dark tone and focuses on the emotional weight of the main character’s journey. It highlights action, tension, and the harsh environment of the story.
This film looks like a classic revenge story with a strong cast leading the way. The setting and tone could make it stand out if the story is handled well. At the same time, revenge plots need strong writing to feel fresh. What do you think about Motor City based on the teaser? Share your thoughts in the comments.
