Netflix has released a new preview for the upcoming action-packed sci-fi film War Machine, starring Alan Ritchson. The clip shows the final stage of a US Army Ranger selection course, where a training exercise in a dense forest turns deadly. The recruits find themselves facing an advanced mechanoid that hunts them relentlessly.

The film also features Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Daniel Webber. According to Netflix, the film is rated R for strong violence, graphic imagery, and language.

Patrick Hughes directed the film and co-wrote the script with James Beaufort. Hughes is known for films like The Hitman’s Bodyguard and The Expendables 3. Filming took place in Victoria, Australia, from September to December 2024, with Gelareh Kiazand behind the camera. Music for the movie was composed by Dmitri Golovko.

Netflix promoted the clip on Twitter, writing, No amount of training can prepare you. War Machine, starring Alan Ritchson, premieres in 1 week.

The movie had a theatrical release in Australia on February 12, and will be available to stream on Netflix starting March 6.
