Ana de Armas, 37, Ended Romance with Tom Cruise, 63: “She Felt Uncomfortable”
Ana de Armas has reportedly ended her brief romance with Tom Cruise, citing the fast pace of their relationship as a reason for stepping back. According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly on October 30, the “Ballerina” star felt the whirlwind romance was moving too quickly, leaving her “uncomfortable.”
The insider explained, “Things were moving fast, and she started to get a little uncomfortable with how fast it was going.” Despite this, they noted that de Armas still has feelings for Cruise, saying, “She still likes [Cruise] a lot.”
They also shared that while the couple is taking a break, they hope to maintain a friendship, adding, “They have a connection. They will see how things go in the future. … Tom and Ana are done for now.”
Rumors about their relationship began earlier this year when the pair were seen together during training for underwater sequences in their upcoming film, Deeper. The source told Us Weekly that their bond began as professional admiration and eventually grew into something more, with Cruise being “completely captivated by Ana.”
The Golden Globe nominee reportedly enjoyed Cruise’s company, finding him fun and supportive. “He supported her and everything she wanted to do,” the source said, highlighting the positive aspects of their time together.
However, the romance did not last. Earlier this month, the Daily Mail reported that both stars decided to keep things professional to protect their working relationship and the future of their movie. “Like any good movie, it all comes to an end, and that was the case for Tom and Ana,” the outlet added.
It seems the pair are parting on amicable terms, leaving the door open for friendship while moving on from their romantic involvement.
