Anne Hathaway Shines in First Look at ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Sequel as Set Photos Leak

The Devil Wears Prada is officially getting a sequel, and fans finally have their first look at it. New set photos from filming show Anne Hathaway back in action as Andy Sachs, looking as stylish as ever.

According to leaked images from the set, Hathaway was seen shooting scenes in New York City, dressed in sleek outfits that reminded fans of Andy’s fashion transformation in the original movie.

The sequel, titled The Devil Wears Prada 2, brings back many of the original stars. Meryl Streep returns as the iconic Miranda Priestly, along with Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman are also returning.

Some new faces are joining too, including Kenneth Branagh, who plays Miranda’s new husband, and actors like Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet.

David Frankel is directing the sequel, and the screenplay is being written by Aline Brosh McKenna, who also worked on the first movie.

Like the original film, this sequel is based on a novel by Lauren Weisberger. This time, the story takes inspiration from her 2013 book Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns.

Interestingly, for a long time it looked like a sequel might never happen. Back in the day, Meryl Streep had said she wasn’t interested in returning, while Anne Hathaway mentioned she would only come back if the story was “something totally different.”

But plans changed. In July 2024, reports confirmed that development had officially started.

Filming began in June 2025, and now, thanks to set leaks, fans know the movie is real and happening. The InSneider and other outlets shared the first behind-the-scenes look at Hathaway during filming. One source described her as “stunning” while working on set.

According to official studio plans, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set for release in the United States on May 1, 2026. Fans are already excited to see what Andy Sachs, Miranda Priestly, and the rest of the Runway magazine team are up to in this new chapter.
