Another New Face Joins ‘Wednesday’ Season 3, and Fans Are Already Curious
Netflix’s Wednesday is adding another new face to its growing Season 3 cast. According to What’s on Netflix, British actor Oliver Cunliffe has joined the hit series in a recurring role for the upcoming season.
Details about his character are being kept completely secret. Netflix and MGM Television have not shared any official information about who he will play, and the production has stayed quiet about how he fits into the story. For now, all that is known is that Cunliffe will appear across multiple episodes rather than just a single appearance.
A recurring role means the character will not be part of the main cast like Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams, but will still show up often enough to be important to the season’s story. It usually means the character is tied to an ongoing storyline or mystery that unfolds over several episodes, rather than a one-off appearance.
Cunliffe is best known for his work in genre television. He previously starred as Louis in the CBBC and Hulu sci-fi series Silverpoint, which received critical attention and helped the show earn BAFTA nominations as well as an RTS award. He has also appeared in shows like Amazon Prime Video’s Patterns, Sky’s Safe Space, and the long-running BBC soap EastEnders. At 6-foot-3, he also brings a strong screen presence that fits well with the darker, more gothic tone of Wednesday.
Season 3 is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet for the series. Alongside Cunliffe’s casting, the show is bringing in a long list of new and high-profile names. Eva Green will play Aunt Ophelia Frump, a major new addition to the Addams Family storyline. Winona Ryder is also set to appear in a guest role as Tabitha, marking another collaboration with Tim Burton. Other confirmed guest stars include Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and newcomer Kennedy Moyer.
The expanded cast continues to grow the world of Nevermore Academy, with many roles still being kept under wraps. At the same time, the core cast is expected to return, including Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Emma Myers as Enid, Hunter Doohan as Tyler, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.

There is also one confirmed departure from the series. Noah B. Taylor, who previously played Bruno Yuson, will not be returning for Season 3. His exit makes room for the new wave of characters joining the story.
