Elle Fanning Stuns in Elegant Beige Outfit at Apple TV Press Event
Elle Fanning is stepping into a completely new kind of role with her latest project, showing she can handle comedy, drama, and even a little chaos.
The actress appeared at a recent Apple TV press day looking effortlessly stylish in a beige outfit, featuring a fitted, structured top and flowing trousers. The event served as the official introduction for Margo’s Got Money Troubles, a dark comedy series set to premiere on Apple TV+ on April 15.

The show follows Margo, a community college dropout whose life is turned upside down by an unplanned pregnancy. To cover the rising costs of everyday life, she decides to launch an alien-themed fetish account on OnlyFans. One of the teaser’s most memorable moments shows Fanning painted entirely green, symbolizing her character’s commitment to creating her unusual “educational videos.”
Apple TV today unveiled its first teaser for ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles,’ the David E. Kelley-created series starring Elle Fanning based on Rufi Thorpe’s best-selling book.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles also features a star-studded cast. Michelle Pfeiffer plays Shyanne, Margo’s mother, who gives tough-love advice in a Bloomingdale’s aisle. “There are no victims in Bloomingdale’s,” she says in the teaser, set to the beat of Meek Mill’s Fabulous. Nick Offerman plays Jinx, Margo’s father and a former wrestler just out of rehab. The cast is rounded out by Nicole Kidman, Thaddea Graham, and Marcia Gay Harden.
Fanning explained at the press day why she was drawn to the character. “I was drawn to Margo’s spunk and optimism,” she said. She added that she wanted to portray the challenges of postpartum life with honesty.

The series is adapted from Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel, with veteran showrunner David E. Kelley at the helm. Kelley, who is married to Pfeiffer, joked during the event that convincing his wife to play Margo’s mother was “the second best ‘yes’ I’ve gotten from her.”

This role comes after a busy year for Fanning. In late 2025, she starred in the sci-fi thriller Predator: Badlands, where she played twin synthetic characters, Thia and Tessa, alongside Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi.
Looking ahead, Fanning will appear in the Hunger Games prequel, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, taking on the role of a young Effie Trinket. She told the Palm Springs International Film Festival that playing the character was a dream come true as a longtime fan. She will also star in The Nightingale, her first on-screen project alongside her sister, Dakota Fanning.
With Margo’s Got Money Troubles releasing its first episodes in April and other major projects lined up, 2026 is shaping up to be one of Fanning’s busiest years. The Apple TV press day confirmed that the actress is continuing to expand her range, taking on roles that are quirky, challenging, and completely different from her past work.
