Apple TV+’s Alien Invasion Series With 57% Rotten Tomatoes Score Reveals Season 3 Premiere Date and Intense New Teaser
Apple TV+ has confirmed when season 3 of Invasion will finally arrive, and fans got a new teaser to go with the news. The sci-fi show follows an alien invasion told through the eyes of different people all over the world. As season 3 gets closer, it looks like those separate stories will start to connect in bigger ways.
The new teaser sets the tone clearly, showing more intense alien action and ending with the line: “This is war.”
After a long two-year break, season 3 is set to kick off on Friday, August 22. Just one episode will be released that day, and the rest will come out weekly. The season will have 10 episodes, ending on October 24.
This time, the cast brings back familiar faces like Golshifteh Farahani as Aneesha, Shioli Kutsuna as Mitsuki, Shamier Anderson as Trevante, India Brown as Jamila, Shane Zaza as Nikhil, and Enver Gjokaj as Clark. There’s also a new character being introduced, played by Erika Alexander.
Invasion was created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil and first hit Apple TV+ back in October 2021. It stands out for using multiple languages like English, Japanese, and Pashto, showing how the alien event impacts different cultures.
Even though the show has a big cast and some strong character moments, not everyone was impressed. Reviews were mixed, with a lot of people saying the pacing was too slow and that the aliens didn’t show up enough. Some felt like the show took too long to get going, even if they liked the music and acting.
The show was renewed for season 2 in late 2021, and those new episodes came out in August 2023. In early 2024, Apple confirmed that season 3 was in the works. Season 2 got better feedback overall, as fans appreciated how the story started to move faster and showed more of the alien invasion.
Invasion focuses more on the people caught in the middle of the chaos than on nonstop alien battles. That human side has helped the show stand out, even though some viewers were frustrated by the slow pace.
With the third season on the way and the teaser teasing bigger action, fans who stuck around might finally get the payoff they’ve been waiting for. Season 3 seems ready to bring all the pieces together and raise the stakes in a big way.
