Ariana Grande Turns Into Kevin McCallister in Wild ‘SNL’ Family Reunion Sketch

Ariana Grande delivered one of the most shocking sketches of her Saturday Night Live hosting gig by stepping into the role of Kevin McCallister from Home Alone, but with a much darker twist. The sketch aired during the latest episode of SNL on NBC.

The scene is set on Christmas morning. Kevin, played by Grande, is still a young child and has been left home for a long stretch of time.

His house is filled with traps he originally set up to stop burglars. His tired mother wakes him up and tells him she is sorry the rest of the family could not make it home for the holiday. That moment does not last long. The family suddenly walks through the door after catching an early flight.

Kevin is overwhelmed and forgets one key thing. The house is still dangerous.

As relatives move through the home, the traps begin to go off one by one. A closet, the floor, and everyday household items quickly turn into weapons. Each family member tries to help the others, but every action only triggers something worse. The chaos spreads through the house as more people get hurt.

The sketch keeps pushing the idea further, turning the lighthearted feel of Home Alone into full-on dark comedy. Even the family’s elderly neighbor shows up to share good news about his life, only to be caught in the mayhem as well.

By the end, Kevin and his mother are left standing in the house, stunned by everything that just happened. His mother tries to brush it off and says, “Sorry, I’ve just been awake for a really long time. Merry Christmas, Kevin.” The moment is broken again when the neighbor speaks up and wishes them well. That leads to one final burst of panic. As he leaves, he quietly admits, “I’ve killed again.“
