Ariana Greenblatt, who is currently promoting her new movie Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, recently shared which DC Universe character she would love to play one day.

During an interview alongside her co-star Justice Smith, both actors were asked which DC roles they would want to take on if given the chance.

Without hesitation, Greenblatt said, “I would love to play Catwoman. I would love to.” Her answer made fans excited online, as many could picture her bringing a fresh and energetic version of the character to life.

Justice Smith followed her response by revealing his own dream DC role, saying, “There’s a superhero that I’ve always wanted to be. I always wanted to be Beast Boy from Teen Titans.”

While Greenblatt’s enthusiasm for playing Catwoman was clear, it seems unlikely she will take on the role anytime soon. Catwoman, often portrayed as a mature and complex antihero, might not fit her age just yet.

The DC Universe, currently led by James Gunn and Peter Safran, is in the process of introducing a new Batman in The Brave and the Bold, a film that will focus on Batman and his son, Damian Wayne, who becomes Robin.

James Gunn described the upcoming movie as “a strange father and son story,” focusing on the relationship between Bruce and Damian. The movie is based on Grant Morrison’s comic book run from 2006 to 2013.

Andy Muschietti, known for directing The Flash, was chosen to direct The Brave and the Bold with his sister Barbara producing alongside Gunn and Safran. However, development of the movie was delayed in late 2024 due to scheduling conflicts and to ensure it wouldn’t interfere with Matt Reeves’ The Batman: Part II.

A writer began working on the script earlier this year, and according to reports, they have been collaborating closely with Gunn to shape the story. Muschietti is expected to rejoin the project once the script is completed.

Ariana Greenblatt’s dream of becoming Catwoman may remain just that, a dream. Still, her growing popularity and talent have made her one of Hollywood’s rising stars, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see her take on a superhero role in the future.
