Ariel Winter Joins Nickelodeon’s ‘Clash of the Thundermans’ Movie As the Franchise Expands

Nickelodeon is bringing more thunder with a new movie called Clash of the Thundermans. This comes after the success of The Thundermans Return movie and the spinoff series The Thundermans: Undercover.

According to official announcements, the new movie will launch at the same time on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ in 2026. Filming is planned to start in Vancouver on July 31.

Ariel Winter, known for her roles in Modern Family and Sofia the First, is joining the cast. She will play a character named Cognita. Fans will also see familiar faces returning, including Kira Kosarin as Phoebe Thunderman, Jack Griffo as Max Thunderman, Maya Le Clark as Chloe Thunderman, Addison Riecke as Nora Thunderman, Diego Velázquez as Billy Thunderman, Chris Tallman as Hank Thunderman, and Rosa Blasi as Barb Thunderman.

The Thundermans is a popular American comedy show created by Jed Spingarn. It originally aired on Nickelodeon from 2013 to 2018 and starred Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Addison Riecke, Diego Velazquez, Chris Tallman, Rosa Blasi, and Maya Le Clark. The show also featured Dana Snyder as the voice of Dr. Colosso.

In March 2023, Nickelodeon announced a follow-up film titled The Thundermans Return, which premiered on March 7, 2024. The film brought back many of the original cast members. Filming for this movie began in Los Angeles in April 2023, and the release was confirmed for both Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.

In addition to the movies, a spinoff series called The Thundermans: Undercover was ordered in May 2024. Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, and Maya Le Clark returned to their roles for the show. Thow show premiered this year.

This steady stream of new Thundermans projects shows how much Nickelodeon believes in the franchise’s lasting appeal. Fans can look forward to more superhero family fun in the years ahead.
