At the premiere of Predator: Badlands, producer Ben Rosenblatt shared exciting news for fans of the franchise: Arnold Schwarzenegger could be returning as Dutch in a future Predator movie.

The film hits theaters on November 7, and Rosenblatt revealed that discussions with Schwarzenegger and director Dan Trachtenberg have already taken place.

“Obviously, the holy grail of Predator movies would be getting Arnold back in there,” Rosenblatt said. “And it’s always been something in the back of our minds that it would be really great to see him come back to this franchise that he’s made iconic, and that’s made him iconic.”

Rosenblatt explained that Schwarzenegger has shown genuine interest in the new direction of the series.

“Arnold and Dan have met a couple of times now. He’s been really interested in what we’re doing, he’s a real fan of what we’ve done so far, from what I understand. And we’re really excited. After Predator: Badlands comes out, we’ll see and have more conversations. Hopefully, we’ll have a chance to do something with Arnold, because that would be awesome.”

The comments follow an animated cameo of Dutch in Predator: Killer of Killers earlier this year. While Predator: Badlands explores new characters and even includes a subtle crossover with the Alien universe, the team emphasized that bringing back Dutch would be a major milestone for the franchise.

Rosenblatt and Trachtenberg both highlighted how the film expands the Predator universe without relying solely on human characters. The inclusion of new humanoid figures and references to Weyland-Yutani from Alien are meant to enrich the story while keeping the focus on the Yautja, leaving room for future sequels that could feature familiar faces like Dutch.
