Aubrey Plaza (41) Flaunts Baby Bump for the First Time During Outing in New York City
Aubrey Plaza has been seen out in New York City just one day after news of her pregnancy became public. The actress was photographed walking her dog around the city, and this marked the first time her baby bump was visible.
According to E! Online, Plaza kept things simple during the outing. She wore casual clothes, sunglasses, and sneakers while moving through a busy street with her dog.
The pregnancy was confirmed shortly before the sighting. People reported that Plaza is expecting her first child with Christopher Abbott. A source told the outlet that the baby is expected later this year.
“[It] was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,” the insider shared. “[They] feel very blessed.”
The news comes after a difficult period in Plaza’s personal life. Her estranged husband, Jeff Baena, died in January 2025 at the age of 47. The two had been together for many years before separating in 2024.
At the time, a spokesperson told Us Weekly, “This is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”

Since then, Plaza has slowly moved forward. Her relationship with Abbott grew over time, although they kept it private. The two already knew each other well, having worked together on the film Black Bear and later performing together in the stage play “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.”
Abbott once spoke about working with Plaza in an interview with Vogue. He described their time on stage and how they kept things interesting during performances.
“We’re the ones doing it every night, eight times a week,” he said. “So I think there’s a level of — without going too outside the bounds — keeping it fresh for us and just checking in that we’re having fun on stage, and sort of staying engaged.”
