‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Promo Brings Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell and Simu Liu Together
The countdown to ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ has turned into a steady drip of cast videos, and every new ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ promo sends fans hunting for clues. Marvel has leaned on short, cryptic clips rather than long reveals, and the strategy keeps the conversation going week after week.
The numbers suggest it is working. Four short teasers released between Dec. 23 and Jan. 13 reportedly racked up 1.02 billion views in 3 days, and the full trailer that arrived July 20 pulled in 503 million views in 24 hours, Disney’s most-viewed trailer. The Wrap also reported that the film had already topped $50 million in presales.
Now a fresh cast promo is making the rounds. Avengers Updates posted on Oct. 3 that a new promo features Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Simu Liu and Danny Ramirez. The 26-second vertical clip, shared through an account called “em | doomsday era,” shows Liu, labeled Shang-Chi, speaking to camera in front of a tall window while the English subtitle has him acknowledging that the rumors are true.

It is not clear which rumors he means, and Marvel has not confirmed the clip. The on-screen text appears in Spanish alongside the English subtitle, which suggests a localized version. The setting also echoes an 8-second clip Marvel Studios Philippines posted on Sept. 24, which showed cast members standing before a stained-glass window and promised cinemas on Dec. 16.
The lineup in the new clip is notable for who is in it. Evans returns as Steve Rogers, Mackie plays Captain America, Sam Wilson, Liu is Shang-Chi, and Atwell is listed as Peggy Carter on Disney’s cast page. Ramirez plays Joaquin Torres, the U.S. Air Force lieutenant who takes on the Falcon identity after Sam becomes Captain America.
Evans’ presence stands out because he was absent from Marvel’s 31-second “Silence Your Phones” spot, which began playing before ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Encore screenings and was posted online on Sept. 28. That spot placed cast members such as Chris Hemsworth, Liu, Florence Pugh, James Marsden and Pedro Pascal in costume in a packed theater. Evans did appear in the first teaser on Dec. 23, which showed Captain America returning with a child, and the full trailer featured Rogers wielding Mjolnir.
Atwell’s appearance will keep the speculation machine humming. Heroic Hollywood reported in December 2025, citing a scooper, that she would play multiple variants of Peggy Carter, though the site noted there was no official confirmation and no statement from the actor herself. A separate rumor from scooper James Mack claims a Latverian Witch will be disguised as Peggy Carter, and that claim is also unconfirmed.
The Russo brothers have fanned the flames. According to WDW News Today, Anthony Russo said at an event around ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Encore that the full cast has not been announced. The re-release, which arrived Sept. 25, also featured new footage of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner encountering Doctor Doom.
The story itself is shaping up to be enormous. Disney describes the film as the final chapter of the Multiverse Saga, with heroes from 3 universes facing an existential threat, and the production details place it 14 months after ‘Thunderbolts*’. Robert Downey Jr. stars as Doctor Doom, and Anthony and Joe Russo direct.

The release calendar is also crowded. The movie opens Dec. 18 in the United States and Dec. 16 in the Philippines, and it lands on the same day as ‘Dune: Part Three’, a coordinated “Dunesday” campaign that Robert Downey Jr. and Timothée Chalamet have endorsed. In Mexico, a second presale began Oct. 2 for formats including VIP, Platinum, ScreenX and 4DX, while IMAX availability is expected to be limited because of the ‘Dune’ release.
Marketing has also gone local. A Comic Con Málaga poster showing Doctor Doom with 3 masked Latverian Witches began circulating on Oct. 1, and the promotional booth there features a large Avengers logo on stone and glowing green panels. The new clip adds another piece to a campaign that keeps finding fresh ways to tease the cast. Whether Liu’s line points to a casting reveal, a plot twist or just playful marketing, fans now have another snippet to dissect.
