Chris Hemsworth, best known for playing Thor in the Marvel films, recently found himself in an unexpectedly ordinary situation that had nothing to do with superheroes or movie sets. Instead, it involved a passport mistake that led to a family travel issue at the airport.

The story was shared by Hemsworth during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, where he and his wife Elsa Pataky spoke about a past trip that didn’t go as planned. According to the couple, what was supposed to be a simple check-in process turned into a confusing moment at airport security.

Hemsworth explained that he accidentally packed the wrong passport while traveling with his family. Instead of bringing the correct document for one of his twin sons, he ended up carrying his daughter India Rose’s passport by mistake.

The error only became clear once they reached the airport. Hemsworth described the moment and admitted it was an honest mix-up. He said, “I actually went to the airport once, and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport.”

At first, he tried to fix the situation in a lighthearted way, hoping the issue could be overlooked. He even attempted to convince airport staff that the passport still matched the child he was traveling with. But the situation quickly became more complicated.

Hemsworth recalled how the exchange unfolded with security. He said, “I said, ‘This is her.’” The response he got was immediate and direct: “That’s a boy.”

Elsa Pataky, who was present during the interview, also added her own reaction to the story. When Hemsworth suggested that their children looked similar enough for confusion, she disagreed in a very straightforward way, replying, “They don’t.”

The couple shared the story with humor, reflecting on how small mistakes can turn into stressful moments during family travel. Even though Hemsworth is one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors, the situation showed a very normal side of his life as a parent.

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have been married since 2010 and share three children: daughter India Rose and twin sons Sasha and Tristan. The family often keeps their private life out of the public eye, although their children have occasionally appeared in entertainment projects connected to their parents.

India Rose previously appeared alongside Hemsworth in “Thor: Love and Thunder,” while the twins recently joined Pataky in her Spanish-language series “The Tribute.” Even with these appearances, Hemsworth has said in past interviews that he prefers his children to grow up away from constant attention before deciding on any future careers in the entertainment industry.

The passport incident, as shared by Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, is another reminder that even global film stars deal with everyday parenting problems. In this case, not even the power of Thor could get past a simple airport check.
