There’s Marvel action for all ages, a National Geographic feature from Oscar winning filmmakers, a heartfelt road movie with Chris Hemsworth and his dad, and the return of Santa’s stealthiest elves. Arriving Friday November 7 as a Disney+ streaming premiere following its National Geographic broadcast, ‘Love+War’ follows Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario through conflict zones while exploring how she balances dangerous assignments with family life. The feature is directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin and runs about 95 minutes with sequences from Ukraine and other front line regions. The documentary premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this fall and comes from National Geographic Documentary Films and Little Monster Films. The film stars Dakota Johnson with Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor, and it is directed by S J Clarkson with supporting roles from Adam Scott and Emma Roberts. The plot follows Cassandra as she tries to rewrite a deadly future she has foreseen. This is the film’s streaming release after its theatrical and digital windows.

It is a one hour documentary that arrives on Disney+ the day after the Nat Geo telecast.

The 22 minute special brings back elves Lanny and Wayne as an operation goes off script and Wayne worries he is in big trouble with Santa while mishaps cascade across the mission. Voice talent includes returning cast and new additions and production comes from Disney Television Animation with Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers Skelton as executive producers. The special will also air later on ABC and Freeform.

Recently added on Friday October 3 as a Disney+ library title, ‘Something Wicked This Way Comes’ adapts Ray Bradbury’s 1962 novel about two boys in a Midwestern town who cross paths with a sinister traveling carnival led by the enigmatic Mr Dark. The film stars Jason Robards, Jonathan Pryce, Diane Ladd, and Pam Grier with music by James Horner and cinematography by Stephen H Burum. Produced by Walt Disney Productions, the story blends coming of age chills with supernatural bargains as the carnival tempts townsfolk with their deepest desires. It is available to stream on Disney+ as a catalog addition.

Developed with Atomic Cartoons, the 22 minute crossover is designed for younger viewers and plays as a self contained adventure.
