Billie Eilish Confirms 3D Project Collaboration With James Cameron

Billie Eilish surprised fans in Manchester when she shared that she’s working on a new 3D project with legendary filmmaker James Cameron. The singer made the announcement during her first sold-out show at the AO Arena, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement.

While performing, Billie spoke to the audience and gave them a little clue about what’s happening behind the scenes. “So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here. Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D,” Billie said from the stage.

She then added playfully, “So, take that as you will and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He’s in this audience somewhere, just saying. So don’t mind that, and also I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”

Billie didn’t give away any other details about the mystery project, and fans are now left wondering what it could be. According to Entertainment Tonight, it’s not clear whether Finneas, Billie’s brother and frequent music partner, will also be part of this project.

This wouldn’t be Billie’s first experience with films. In 2021, fans got to know her better through the documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, directed by R.J. Cutler. That same year, she also released Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, a concert movie. Right now, she’s touring her third album called Hit Me Hard and Soft.

As for James Cameron, the famous director behind Titanic, Avatar, and the Terminator movies, he’s been keeping busy as well. His next movie, Avatar: Fire and Ash, is coming out on December 19. Reports suggest that this new film might be even longer than Avatar: The Way of Water, which already ran for over three hours.

At this point, no one knows what Billie and Cameron are planning together. It could be a concert film, a documentary, or something totally new. But with Cameron’s love for groundbreaking technology and 3D visuals, and Billie’s unique style and creativity, it’s easy to guess that fans will be in for something big.

For now, fans in Manchester can feel lucky knowing they were part of something special. And everyone else will have to wait and see what Billie and Cameron are putting together.
