Bodycam Footage of Justin Timberlake’s (45) DWI Arrest He Tried to Block Is Now Released
Justin Timberlake’s 2024 DWI arrest bodycam footage has been released after a legal dispute over its publication ended in court approval.
The decision follows a lawsuit filed by Timberlake earlier this year against Sag Harbor Village and local police officials in New York. According to reporting from Variety, he initially tried to stop the footage from being made public, but the case later ended in a settlement that allowed its release.
Court documents show that Timberlake eventually agreed the video did not qualify as an unjust violation of his privacy. After that agreement, the judge cleared the footage for public release.
The video shows police stopping Timberlake in Sag Harbor after observing his vehicle moving between lanes and failing to follow traffic rules. Officers then began standard roadside checks. During the stop, Timberlake identifies himself and mentions he is currently on tour. “I’m on a world tour. Hard to explain. A world tour. I’m Justin Timberlake.”
Later in the footage, officers ask him to complete sobriety tests. He follows instructions but appears nervous and unsteady. At one point, he openly describes his condition during the interaction. “I’m a little nervous… my heart is racing.”

The arrest happened in June 2024. Police reported signs of impairment, including erratic driving and bloodshot eyes. Timberlake told officers he had one drink and refused a breath test at the scene.
He was originally charged with driving while intoxicated but later accepted a lesser charge. He pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired. The court fined him $500 and ordered community service.
According to Variety, his legal team has not made further comments after the release of the footage.
This case shows how quickly private moments can become public when legal systems are involved. It also shows how celebrity status does not stop court processes from moving forward. At the same time, it raises questions about privacy once a case is settled. What do you think about this footage being released? Share your thoughts in the comments.
