Bosch has been one of the most enduring crime dramas since 2014 when the original series premiered. And while the original series ended in 2021, a sequel series, Bosch: Legacy, premiered in 2022. And while fans expected more, a shock came!

After just three seasons, Legacy has been officially canceled by Amazon and will not move forward. Series star Titus Welliver recently talked to the press and commented on this moment, which was a shock even for him.

Bosch: Legacy had been doing well and it had a solid fandom, but it wasn’t enough for Amazon to continue the show. And while we know that we are getting a spin-off in the future (Ballard), Welliver was quite shocked about the cancelation.

We had already been pre-planning what Season 4 was going to look like, because we’d ostensibly discussed the idea that Harry, as he does in the books, returns to be a volunteer detective for the San Fernando Police Department,” he said, adding: “This season is really impactful, really strong.

As you can see, the disappointment is there and even more so because they had been planning a fourth season before the abrupt surprise. He did not rule out a possible return in a different format, though, although it doesn’t seem likely at this time.

There’s always a distinct possibility, like they’ve done with Jack Ryan and Reacher, [for] spun off feature-length films,” Welliver said. “So is there a possibility of life for that character? I think so.
