Bradley Cooper is speaking out after online rumors started spreading about his appearance. The actor recently found himself at the center of talk suggesting he may have had plastic surgery, something he addressed during a podcast appearance.

Cooper discussed the topic on Monday’s episode of the SmartLess podcast, which he joined as a guest. The show is hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. Clips from the episode were later shared by E! News, which helped fuel more attention around the conversation.

While talking with the hosts, the subject came up naturally. Will Arnett, who worked closely with Cooper on the new film Is This Thing On?, was asked to share something people might not know about him. Arnett said there were many things he could mention, but one rumor kept following Cooper around lately.

“I was gonna say, because we keep reading … everybody thinks that Bradley’s had plastic surgery. Everybody keeps saying that. I’m like, ‘What people don’t know is that he hasn’t!’” Arnett said during the show.

Cooper reacted by saying he hadn’t expected the sudden focus on his looks. He shared that people had recently been approaching him with comments that felt unusual.

“Some people came up to me in the last couple of weeks,” Cooper said, “and they’re like, ‘Oh, you look good!’”

Arnett made it clear that the rumors bothered him. He said people often jump to conclusions and believe everything they read online.

“People say that all the time, and it’s a hilarious thing,” he said. “Everybody thinks that they know. You know, you read that ******** stuff.”

The speculation began after Cooper appeared at the 2025 New York Film Festival in October. He attended the event for the premiere of Is This Thing On?, which he directed and co-wrote.

Photos from the red carpet quickly circulated online, and some viewers claimed his face looked different. That led to talk of cosmetic procedures, including a possible facelift.

Despite the chatter about his appearance, the film itself has been getting strong reviews. Rolling Stone praised the movie and called it “a totally unexpected, left-field triumph.” The dramedy follows a single father, played by Arnett, who turns to stand-up comedy after his marriage ends. Laura Dern also stars in the film. The project marks Cooper’s third time directing, following A Star is Born and Maestro.
