Netflix has just released a teaser trailer for Bridgerton season 4, part 2, and fans are already buzzing about what’s to come.

The next installment picks up the story of Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek, whose complicated romance has been the center of attention since part 1 premiered. In the teaser, Benedict’s pursuit of the mysterious lady he met at the masquerade ball continues, while Sophie’s role as a maid in the Bridgerton household adds new tension and intrigue.

Part 2 of season 4 is set to premiere on February 26, at 3 A.M. ET. Like part 1, it will include four episodes titled “Yes and No,” “The Passing Winter,” “The Beyond,” and “Dance in the Country.” Netflix has continued its split-season approach, first introduced in Bridgerton season 3. Showrunner Jess Brownell told Tudum that the season was already complete before Netflix suggested splitting it, but the midpoint ending of episode 4 worked perfectly as a natural break for viewers.

The teaser sets the stage for the fallout from the dramatic staircase moment at the end of part 1, where Benedict asked Sophie to be “his mistress.”

According to Brownell, Sophie is unlikely to accept such a proposal. “For Sophie, the idea of being a mistress is the worst possible thing she could be asked,” she explained. “Despite societal rules, there is a part of Sophie that’s hoping that Benedict could see beyond [the ton] and that what they have is so special it could overcome the obstacles of class.”

Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict, gave more insight into his character, saying “[Benedict] just wants to have his cake and eat it [too]. Deep down, I think he is. He doesn’t like to sort of go anywhere too serious or too committed.” Meanwhile, Yerin Ha, who portrays Sophie, noted how her character’s past hardships affect her decisions.

“[Sophie knows] she could be on the street with no money. It all manifests in this deep trauma, and that’s why she has her guard up. She doesn’t trust anyone who says, ‘I promise this for you,’ because that has never been true for Sophie.”

The drama will only heighten as Sophie adjusts to her position in the Bridgerton household, especially with Lady Penwood and her daughters moving in next door. Fans can expect more of the twists and emotional intensity that have made Bridgerton one of Netflix’s most popular series.

From the teaser, it’s clear that part 2 will explore the growing tension between desire, class, and trust, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Bridgerton’s mix of romance and intrigue remains as strong as ever, promising a dramatic continuation of Benedict and Sophie’s story.
