Netflix is inviting fans back to the world of romance, secrets, and high society with the announcement of Bridgerton season 4.

The new season will arrive in two parts, with the first four episodes dropping on January 29, 2026, and the final four on February 26.

The streaming giant revealed the news on Monday, sharing a few new images and a teaser that give a glimpse into what’s ahead for Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, and newcomer Sophie Baek, portrayed by Yerin Ha.

The pair take center stage this time, with their story inspired by a Cinderella-style romance.

In the teaser, Benedict and Sophie cross paths at a masquerade ball, each dressed in striking outfits, Benedict in black and Sophie in shining silver. Lady Whistledown, voiced once again by Julie Andrews, narrates over the scene, saying, “With each passing season, one is known to experience plenty of ups and downs. So then we must ask ourselves, do we rise to the occasion? As always, time and this author will tell.”

Showrunner Jess Brownell shared that this season will finally give fans the story many have been waiting for.

“Benedict is a character who we all have been rooting for,” she said earlier this year. “We’re deeply invested in his story, and it’s been really exciting trying to shake him out of his normal routine. Sophie is no damsel in distress — she’s smart, strategic, and always thinking a few steps ahead. She’s absolutely going to throw Benedict for a loop.”

Alongside the main love story, the season will explore other familiar relationships, including the friendship between Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Eloise (Claudia Jessie). Brownell said their bond has grown stronger after the challenges of last season.

“They’re more bonded than ever! Their trials and tribulations last season have added new depth to their friendship, and we’re excited for viewers to see how their relationship looks now that they’ve each grown up a little.”

New characters will also enter the story, including Sophie’s family, her stepsisters Rosamund and Posy Li, and their mother, Araminta Gun, played by Katie Leung.

Brownell described them as newcomers to society, each with her own personality and ambitions. Rosamund is serious and focused on social success, while Posy is more carefree, often clashing with their strict mother.

Season 4 promises more drama, romance, and elegance, all leading up to what’s sure to be a stunning masquerade ball. Fans won’t have to wait too much longer to see what happens when masks come off and true feelings are revealed.
