Camila Mendes recently sat down to talk about her new reality TV satire, Idiotka. During the conversation, she was asked about her upcoming role in the live-action Masters of the Universe movie. Mendes plays Teela, a key ally of He-Man, who will be played by Nicholas Galitzine.

She explained:“Yeah, I mean, to be honest, I’ve always dreamed of being in a project like this, and there’s something that is so special about it because it doesn’t have the same fanbase as Marvel or DC. It feels like it’s a fresh superhero universe. It hasn’t really been reinvented in a long time. It’s exciting to create this world and in a less pressured environment, if that makes sense.

She describes it as “fun and funny,” meaning it will have humor and excitement, but she also emphasizes its “layers” and “beautiful arcs and stories,” suggesting that the characters and plot have emotional depth and meaningful development.
