Camrus Johnson Joins Netflix’s ‘One Piece’ Live-Action as Explosive Mr. 5, Here’s a First Look At the Character
Netflix is giving fans an early look at new characters for the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, ahead of the show’s return in a few months.
The series, starring Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji, is preparing for its second season, titled Into the Grand Line.
The latest teaser introduces Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, a member of the Baroque Works organization. In a video shared by Netflix, the character was described as, “The motto’s a mystery and the style’s explosive! 🕶️💥 Mr. 5 gets the job done by any means necessary!” This follows previous character reveals, including Captain Smoker played by Callum Kerr and Tashigi played by Julia Rehwald.
The first season of Netflix’s One Piece featured a large ensemble cast, including Peter Gadiot as Shanks, Morgan Davies as Koby, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, and Steven Ward as Mihawk.
Returning for the second season are familiar faces alongside new additions such as Brendan Sean Murray as Brogy, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, and Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0. The cast also includes Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday and Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, among others.
Netflix has been steadily releasing character teasers to keep fans engaged while the show gears up for its next episodes. This approach gives viewers a chance to familiarize themselves with the many characters they will encounter as Luffy and the Straw Hat crew continue their adventures across the Grand Line.
