Charlie Cox, the star of ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ recently shared some big news about the show. He said the season starts with a traumatic event that will change Matt Murdock’s life forever. The series kicked off on Disney+ on March 4, 2025, and as of March 24, 2025, four episodes are out.

In the first episode, called “Heaven’s Half Hour,” that event is revealed. Foggy Nelson, Matt’s best friend and law partner, dies. Played by Elden Henson, Foggy is killed in a violent attack by Bullseye at a bar. This happens early in the episode, shocking fans of the original Netflix ‘Daredevil’ series.

Cox teased this moment in an interview with Extra TV on February 26, 2025. He said, “At the beginning of this season, there’s a very traumatic event, which is going to change Matt Murdock’s life.” He added that Matt might never be the same again. The death of Foggy seems to be what he meant.

This loss hits Matt hard. In the show, he tries to kill Bullseye in anger, going against his usual no-kill rule. It’s a big shift for the character. Matt, a blind lawyer who fights crime as Daredevil, has always relied on Foggy for support. Now, he’s on a darker path.

The series brings back other familiar faces too. Vincent D’Onofrio plays Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, who is now the mayor of New York. Deborah Ann Woll returns as Karen Page. New episodes come out every Tuesday, with Episode 5 set for March 25, 2025.

Fans have mixed feelings. Some love the bold move and think it sets up an exciting story. Others are upset to lose Foggy, a key part of the original show. Critics have praised the gritty tone, saying it feels like the Netflix series but with a fresh twist.

Killing Foggy was a risky choice, but it works. It shakes up Matt’s world and makes the stakes feel real. It’s a tough loss, but it could lead to a stronger, more intense Daredevil story. What do you think about Foggy’s death and where the show is headed? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
